why would you do this to yourself? Why would anyone choose to stay there?

I like it overall. It's been a good handgun and I can't remember having any malfunctions with mine. My brother bought the Inox version about a week before I got my pistol. His had some FTE/FTF the first time we went shooting but it was because we didn't lube it beforehand. By the time I picked mine up I made sure there was always lube/grease where they needed it and both pistols has been 100% reliable with 2500 rounds through each.
I chose this pistol because I liked it in regards to what I had available in CA. If I lived in another state I probably would have bought something else like the Steyr M9 or L9-A1 because i like the way the pistol looks.

most of us dont chose where we're born anon, i sure as hell didnt chose to be born Canadian. If i coulda chosen, i woulda picked Mississipi

Lived here all my life man. I live in a small coastal town with private ranches to shoot so it's not too bad and a most people here don't have compliant ARs and such.
Just deposited a 35k check to close on a house so looks like I'm here to stay.
why are ruger semi auto pistols so aesthetically unappealing

Honestly I think the P series is pretty aesthetic. It has a pretty authoritative look to em.
I would buy these but I don't really shoot my PX4 Compact anymore...
