Do you think Nerf guns could make kids into having real weapons in the future?

Maybe.

Or it might completely satisfy their gun needs to a degree so extreme, that when they grow out of it, they will find real guns un-interesting.
>>
>>34899055
Repeat the question, this time in english.
>>
>>34899055
As a kid I had nerf guns and they always pissed me off because they weren't real.
As I grew up I got pellet guns but they pissed me off too because they weren't real.
Honestly every toy gun I had just made me want the real thing more. So I started watching YouTube videos and reading up on gun rights. Before I ever turned 18 I was already sold on the right to bear arms. So I guess you could say yeah they do make kids interested but it kind of depends on the kid.
>>
>>34899055
Games, movies, books, anything could.
>>
>>34899055

>>
I still have a nerf gun. When my daughter or one of her friends act up I'll pull it and pop 'em with it. 7/10 way to keep kids in line ţbh.
>>
Yes, why do you think straya is trying to hard to ban toy guns? They want to squash any chance of gun culture growing
>>
>>34899055
If my in laws are to be believed, yes. To them buying my daughter a pack of $5 clear squirt guns is one small step removed from sending her to militant training. This fact alone is part of the reason I bought her that belt fed nerf gun for her birthday last year.
>>
Well they got me interested in real firearms
>Man I sure love my nerf guns
>I wonder how they work, I should look it up
>wow that's cool
>wait do real guns work the same way, I should look it up
>wow that's different, this is cool, I should look into this more
>slowly turn into gun autist
I still like Nerf a lot though, I go to Nerf HvZ games a lot.
There's definitely the potential for toys to get you interested in the real thing. There's a reason Australia is trying to ban Nerf and gel ball shooters.

Good, now teach her tactics on where to put them for maximum effective firepower. Also take notes from this anon

>>34899055
It just occurred to me: why doesn't Hasbro create a line of highly modular Nerf guns? They'd make a fucking killing
>>

If it lacks stopping power, the HIGH SPEED LOW DRAG darts will accept a bb in the head.

as a Nerffag, the REEEEcon is pretty trash. if you want a good blaster, get yourself a fucking the Zombiestrike Longshot. comes with a 12 dart mag, no bullshit front attachment has integrated bipod and an extensive stock.

however if you're looking for a hose, get yourself the new Hyperfire, that shit looks like a fucking Stormbolter from 40K if you're into that.

but if you're looking for maximum overkill, there's the fucking Mega Mastodon or even the Rival Nemesis.

>>
>>34902267
Just give him a blowjob
>>
>>34899055
Yes, they can also just become real weapons.

The Nerf war at my college got completely out of hand. Everyone started with Nerf guns, but being engineers modifications soon took over.

I thought about playing, but after seeing a Nerf dart go super sonic and punch through a cinder block I honestly feared for my life and didn't play.

Apparently I wasn't the only one who had concerns given the arms race that had spawned also spawned rules of the game that tried to keep things under control.

Something is very wrong or very right when there is sub chapter on platform "photon emission limits", as lasers are for targeting assist only and not to remote detonate explosive rounds in mid flight to get around cover or burn through female student bra straps.

And that all happened in the first semester of development. The second was much tamer as the rules caught up, and the crazies stopped playing under the ground it wasn't "fun" anymore.

im just about as big a nerffag as you're a gun nut if I can say so. Nerfs are the closest thing I'll get to a gun as long as I live with my old folks, so I know a bit about stock nerfs

let's go over the general overview

>Nstrike Elite series
the typical guns you'll find if you go to a Nerf war or a LARP (yes, some LARPs allow for nerf guns depending on the setting). the best of the series is the Stryfe. its modular, you can add all sorts of attachments to it, can take all kinds of magazines ranging from 6 darts all the way to the giant 35 dart mag. the Nstrike elite line is mostly outdated because of its age and new lines came out.

>Zombie Strike series
mostly gimmick guns but there are some really cool gems in the rough in the line. like the Longshot, I told you about and the good ol' Hammershot. the hammershot is essential the go-to revolver for nerf. its a 5 shot cylinder, has an actual hammer on the gun so it can be used 1 handed. fanning the hammer doesn't exactly work because the spring won't cooperate mostly. there's also the Sledgefire that's a pretty fuddy nerf blaster. it a shotgun that uses shells of 3 darts and comes with 3 shells.

>Doomlands series
Post-apocalypse cowboys is the name of the game for this line of blasters. avoid the Negotiator and the Persuader. The Judge is like the Sledgefire but GIGANTIC and has cylinder instead of a single barrel.Doubledealer and Lawbringer are the only ones worth it right now.

>Nstrike MEGA series
those are the big boy toys. avoid the Magnus, Centurion, Thunderbow, Bigshock, Hotshock and Lightning bow. all the rest is fair game and fun.

>Nerf Rivals
those are the ball shooting blasters. they're all good for fun and they shoot hard and have the highest muzzle velocity of all nerf blasters

>Nerf Rebelle series
We do not speak of these guns. marketed for girls. that's about it. also most of them have lesser muzzle velocity because "muh gurls can't get hurt"

continuation

>Nerf Nstrike Modulus series
mostly gimmicks blasters but there's loads of attachment sold for the blasters. they are all compatible with the rails, muzzle and stock attachment of the previous series like the Nstrike Elite.

>Alien Menace series.
The newest series out. sold exclusively to Toys R Us and has yet to release more blasters.the Incisor is a large, automatic cylinder fed gun and it looks cool, never had it in my hands though.

when you'll see the blasters, you'll immediately see what guns are bad and which ones are good, they are obvious, unlike Real Steel.
>>
>>34902561
Nigga the relatiator fucking jams almost every third shot. you must be baiting me right now, its just a reshelled Recon with an improved spring and can take the new darts. nigga you cant win in a nerf argument with me.

ok, now i told you about the stock nerf guns, butr there's companies out there that sell mods for the internals for your blasters and there's home made mod guides you can follow to increase the electrical output of your blasters too. if it exists, there's probably a mod for it.. there are entire YT channels that thrive and live on nerf blaster modifications, and some of them even allow for commissions and will make a video about said commissions.

channels include:
>LordDraconical
>Coop772
>NerfboyProductions
>IamBobololo
>Northern Bay Area Coalition of Nerf
>Make.Test.Battle
>OutofDarts
>Tiger Foam

The list goes on. there's loads of people that make mods for every kind of nerf blasters out there. its really incredible
>>
>>34902625
>retaliator is a reshelled recon
Now youve gone full retard mode the internal system is not reverse plunger bs like the recon, it is a direct plunger system. That alone makes airflow to the dart much more without a spring
If the retaliator is jamming you are either using sunbaked darts (very squishy) or bad mags. The retaliator is far superior to the zstrike longshot in everyway.
>>
>>34899055
Yes. They did for me at least.

On a side note, has anyone else noticed that some of the newer Nerf guns actually have sights and seem to have the front sight higher than the rear sight so that they might actually work (possibly with a bit of fine tuning with a file). Does anyone have experience with them? I don't want to buy one without knowing for sure since I already have a Hammer Shot that I use for shooting various bugs off my walls.

>tfw nerf guns were technically banned at your university so no humans vs zombies team

A nerf Stryfe nigger rigged with a bigger battery, a stock, and a 25 round drum mag is an excellent little nerfgat.

I wish they made a belt fed a bit more svelte (more M60 or MG3/42 shaped) with 100 round belts as standard and sold separately, designed around the autistic manchildren market with stuff like the factory motor being severely underpowered but capable of taking 3-5x the voltage without modification, user serviceable internals, metal trigger and mechanism housing, etc.

the only lie in that is that there are any girls in engineering.
Undergrad engineering is starry eyed intelligent nerds out to change the world with thier mad science, doing all sorts of crazy shit in their free time with access to a machine shop/engineering lab. After year 2 it's nothing but pajeets and chink cheaters and dead inside former dreamers who realize engineering is a 60k a year job in 2017 due to outsourcing and H1B1 visas.
>>
>>34907775
>engineering is a 60k a year job in 2017 due to outsourcing and H1B1 visas.
If that's what the market will bear, then that's what the job is worth. Many jobs are extremely and artificially overvalued today especially medicine.
>>
>>34907787
>yes goy let script kiddies named Rajjit and laborers named Paco devalue your labor market until the (((market will bear))) slave wages for skilled positions requiring a college education and every blue collar job without a protectionist union
medicine is a meme though. Boom and bust of shitting out tens of thousands of barely competent nurses and specialists. Just a more expensive version of what happened to Humanities degrees in the (((free college))) era.

at like 14 or something my dad gave me his bb gun his buddy loaned him to to chase off cats when I was a young'un

I promptly broke it but guns are cool and you know what? im canadian and most canadians ive met are cool with guns too. i think having strong opinions on guns is strictly an american thing at this point, guns are neat and all but ive never met a non-american who had an opinion far off from "guns are cool; id shoot one"

Worked for me. Went from Nerf battles in the park, to weekend paintball with friends, to range trips and eventually to competition.

Then again, I was one of those kids that liked to take them apart and mess with the internals. Even if I didn't get them as a kid I probably would have found guns interesting anyway.

>>34907835
Not really. The medical and legal fields artificially limited the number of qualified workers, so those workers got paid more.

It has taken an extremely long time to erode such structural protections, while other fields fell long ago, thus the historic lack of Boom and bust there (although new changes are changing that). Which is why new laws allows nurses to do many of the same tasks as doctors, as renaming them is a easy hack to erode such protections. i.e. cut high paying doctors out so low paying nurses can take their jobs, which is not as horrific as it sounds given many simple medical tasks don't require such a large knowledge and mastery base. That said you still want to keep a stable number of fully qualified doctors to deal with the bad cases, as nurses aren't a perfect substitute for such medical mastery.
>>
I saw a Niglet the other day holding one of the stupid revolver ones sideways.
Tbh they're bad influences on children and are probably part of the growing niggers with guns problem.
