Is there new version of this?
Why no glp
Ock mention ?
Also is phoenix that bad? I hear good things about the hp22a
>>34883518
Fuchs me right? Haha. /kocl/ass
I'm also interested
is the RIA m206 good
Here's the latest one i have, but some of these picks are a bit controversial.
The Baikal shotgun should be dropped because it's no longer widely available, and should be replaced with the Hatfield shotguns that Walmart has been selling for $99. The CVA Hunter in .243 should be added, as you can find them as cheap as $180 (at Academy). The Mosin should be removed, as should all milsurp - the days of cheap milsurp are gone forever, and from now on it's just for collectors. The black powder guns ought to be dropped - the joke's over.
>>34883959
The only cheap milsutp I've ben seeing are asthetically beaten to shit but serviceable spanish mausers and yugo mausers. There's also that one mag fed chink semi auto shotgun that's widely available for sale in centerfire as well
>>34883959
im geuninely wonder if some sad desperate soul talked himself into a black powder as his main defense gun
>>34883925
>buy a savage 64
>cut it down to pistol form
Boom
Fuck I want cheap guns
>>34883925
I'd honestly add the IAS Hawk 182 to the list as it felt a helluva lot handier and more robust than the Stevens, also it is 99% parts compatible with the R870 (Minus the barrel, but that can easily be fixed with a dremel). Also it has a tapped receiver allowing for the attachment of a picc rail or a sight.
Also, I'd remove the Mosin and replace it with entry level ARs. There are deals for basically full ARs from PSA for around $400 if you know what you're doing. $450 if you do it out right.
>>34887138
all milsurp needs to be removed and shotguns need some stuff added/pulled, handguns could do with
the entire thing needs a revamp honestly
>>34883925
>Showing $450 RIA 1911 instead of $350 ATI 1911 that's just as good
I almost fell for this maymay
>>34887167
I'd say hold off on the milsurps cause servicable .308 mausers are still somewhat affordable.

As for the following fields, these are the changes I'd suggest:
Shotguns:
Remove Baikal - Replace Hatfield $125
Add CAI JW2000 ($280)
Remove Stevens - Replace IAS Hawk 182 $140 standard, $180 Ghost Ring sights
Keep Pardner and M88
Keep M500 and Wingmaster 870, add CAI PW87 ($320 12 gauge 1887 clone)
Handguns:
Keep Hi-Point, Add Heritage Rough Rider (.22lr/.22Mag combo at $180, $140 for just .22lr or Mag)
Remove Iver Johnson, Add Taurus PT-111 (I know, Hue hue, but it goes bang reliably $250)
Add M92S ($280-$320)
Remove SD9, replace with Canik (I know, funding Roaches and ISIS, but good performer. $330)
Keep all forward.
Rifles:
Remove Mosin, Replace Spanish/Yugo Mauser ($130-160)
Remove Old Mauser, Keep Hi-Point.
Remove SKS, replace DPMS/PSA AR-15 ($480)

are these things any good?
>>34887374
Never really seen any reviews of it or one in person. Seeing that these probably were replace with HS-2000s, probably serviceable, but not reliable.
>>34883925
Does radom makarov work for pocket carry?
is 9x18 cheap/common
>>34887501
9x18 is cheap and somewhat common, however you won't find it casually at Wal-Mart. Defensive loads are harder to come by as well, only Hordany to my knowledge makes HPs for the 9x18 caliber.
However it's stout enough to handle most people with good shot placement. Essentially it has a bit better ballistics than the .380, but sitting just shy of the 9x19 Luger.

>I'd say hold off on the milsurps cause servicable .308 mausers are still somewhat affordable.

"Gunsmith special" means the rifle is broken and J&G can't be bothered to fix it, so they'll let it go cheap to someone who has the skill to fix it and make it work again. This will almost certainly involve parts that poorfags will have trouble affording and skills that newguns (which is what most poorfags will be) don't have. If they buy a "gunsmith special", they'll almost certainly either spend more then they wanted to fixing it, and/or hurt themselves via amateur gun repairs.
Milsurp guns should also not be on the list because cheap surplus ammo is pretty much gone, and it won't take long until ammo that's a dollar per round or more and that's hard to find at LGSes wipes out any cost advantage to buying a cheap gun. It's total cost of ownership that matters, not just purchase price. Newguns/poorfags should stick to cheap and common calibers like 9mm, .380, .38 special, .22lr, .223, .308, and 12 gauge.
Is that Tim Heidecker in the bottom middle? I've been trying to figure out who that is for well over a year now.
>>34887680
Yeah, thinking about it even the .308 model could easily be replaced with a .308 Savage Axis. The only seemingly workable surplus is the SKS, but an AR is just cheaper these days unless you get a cracked stock Yugo or Chinese one.

As one of the anons who worked on updating that, ffffffffffuck.
The main problem with it is that none of us were able to reliably give feedback on what to add and what not to. The thread had multiple anons working on the same updates at the same time, which ended up as completely different updates in the end.
In hindsight it would've all worked out fine if we all just joined into a group call, discussed it and stayed up all night improving it like the original /k/reators did.
>>34891765
you think the original guys still exist
>>34891765
Fuck you
So should someone or someones get on the horn and start making a 2017 version?
A good suggestion is those Beretta 92s that are coming from Italy, only like 299ish.
>>34887362
Taurus PT111 G2 is nice, I own one but there should be a side note that there's a chance you might get a crappy one like like an inferior extractor.

Is this not for personal defense?
Why is .22 caliber gun on there?
Why are revolvers on there?
People who grew up with revolvers can keep using them sure
but a poorfag brand new into guns who wants a pistol? get them a semi auto man come on so they can build up that skill for those guns
>>34897420
I've heard stories of CCI Mini-mags dropping people after a quick mag-dump or a well placed shot. Revolvers are pretty easy to use and Double Action revolvers are pretty easy to train with as well as no need to buy magazines to make them function. Variety is the spice of life.
Also, I think it was originally built that it isn't just for self-defense as some people would want a gun for plinking as well.
>>34892751
Did the G2 upgrade fix the extractor issue? I'll quickly check that out.
>>34898062
Checked it out, the G2 is just the safety updated version and makes it feel more like a Glock in terms of take-down. So, yeah, I'd add an advisory to check the extractor.
>>34883925
Might as well replace the SKS with an AR 15 since you can find them around 400-500$ now
>>34897420
For the hundred billionth time. Not all states are good about gun rights, some of them limit mag size to 5 or 7 shots. In these states revolvers are as good or better for cc
