I'm interested in a pistol for self defense like many other people
What do you guys think? is 9mm good enough? i feel like i could get shot by a 9mm 50 times and still be fine, maybe 10mm? rifle cartridge in a pistol?
I'm curious about Glock 17L

Accuracy and shot placement > caliber. 9mm is more than enough if you can land lethal hits. A .45 is worthless if you miss.

Just realized this is likely bait. Fucktard.

but what stops me from having accuracy and shot placement AND caliber

You can fit more smaller bullets in the same sized gun. For example, Taurus PT111 9mm holds 12+1, the same fun but .40 holds 10+1

your training. and 9mm is cheaper, recoils less and has the widest ammo selection so you'll be able to train more

ok fine you win, 9mm hammerless revolver

good choice. Glocks reliable guns

I want a glock 17l or a shotgun that shoots 9mm
>>34873324
If you can't find one of those, try a 34. In 9mm and the slide is longer than a 17 and it'll be easier finding a good holster for it

/tts why doesnt glock carry guns in small calibers?

9mm does the trick under ideal circumstances fine. once you start considering things like post barrier performance and whether a round can crack a man's spine after cracking his forearm/ribs and punching through all the soft tissue in between you start to realize that maybe marginal power+maximum rounds on target+maximum capacity isn't exactly the holy trifecta it seems when you're shooting at somebody who's armed and probably presenting a poor target.

G42 is a .380 and it's a subcompact
G43 is a 9mm and it's a subcompact
19 size is probably the me common Glock for a reason, small enough to conceal. To repeat this for the 10 millionth time. Large enough to get a good grip and fight well with it.
The 43 and 42 are single stack so it's thinner. This dude in the pic is a handlet. It's breddy and comfy
