It's not HAND FORGED FOLDED FIVE GORRILLION TIMES DIFFERENTIAL TEMPERED AUTHENTIC CLAY HAM ON HAMON MON, but it's a katana and cuts like a katana.

Going to really depend on budget and taste for a do-it-all sword. Hanwei is hard to beat for price and features, but if you use it enough you'll find the handle rather chunky and the tsuka ito is usually too loose. One step up would be Bugei, which is a Hanwei blade in better furniture with high QC. Also check Skyjiro and Dynasty Forge.
