It's $1400 with a trigger feel identical to a $300 police trade-in Glock. You can make it lighter, you can reduce overtravel and takeup, you can polish to your heart's content, but a Glock trigger is always going to be the same mushy shit. It cannot be fixed.

Do you know what opportunity cost is? What utility does it offer that justifies paying an additional $900 over a stock Glock? Also, remember that it's going to have extremely serious depreciation if you ever have to sell or trade it. Unlike some other kinds of trust fund handguns, like a Baer, Wilson Combat Beretta, Freedom Arms revolver, etc, where you can reasonably recover 75 to 80% of what you paid as long as you took care of the gun, no one is going to pay $1000+ for a used Glock, regardless of whatever has been done to it or who worked on it.

Except that's pretty much the exact market Wilson, Nighthawk and Ed Brown all cater to. 40 and 50+ year old gun guys with disposable income and little creativity. Do you just not interact with other shooters much or something?

A decent STI will be a lot better than any raced up glock and I like glocks. Definitely get a decent 1911; you won't regret it. It doesn't have to be a double stack 2011; the mags are ~$130 a pop.

Apparently the Standard P320 trigger is nearly identical (mostly weight) to the DAO P250, and is heavy, which is why it will AD. The Apex, X5 other "Custom" and custom triggers apparently lack the problem.
