Is it possible to make a gun that shoots bullets that don't have a ballistic trajectory? As in, the bullets always go exactly where you aim without any bullet drop so you don't have to sight your gun in
>>34863623
No.
>>34863623
You like lasers, masers and particle emitters?
>>34863623
>Is it possible to negate gravity?
No nigga, even light bends when exposed to a space-time curvature.
On a human scale, lasers will not experience bullet drop.
>>34863623
Gravity , ever hear of it?
>>34863623
Miniature missiles?
Trajectory would still change due to gravity and wind deflection but would be able to correct itself.
>>34863623
No, not really.
Maybe some kind of built-in automatic range finding system?

>laser detects rang of target
>hydrogen gun pumps the appropriate amount of hydrogen to hit the target.
>uses radar to detect wind at target
>gyroscopes torque the gun in all the right places moments before firing
That's the best I could do.

yes

>>34863623
Effectively, yes. Practically? Not so much.
Everything has a trajectory thanks to the laws of physics and gravity, but shit like >>34863650 , >>34863656 , and >>34863865
negate it. Also there's these things

>>34863931
>negate it
no
even light is effected by gravity
>>34863865
>>34863765
the gyrojet doesnt go where you point it regardless

>>34863878
actually impressive, anon.
Beam weapons (eg. Lasers, masers and particle emmiters) cannot fire over the horizon
>>34863623
You could have some kind of rangefinder on a scope that automatically adjusts for distance or something to appear like there isn't any drop
>>34863623
Technically yes, look at the predecessor to the Javelin missle system.
Realistically no.
yes if you fight in space :)

>Is it possible to make a gun that shoots bullets that don't have a ballistic trajectory? As in, the bullets always go exactly where you aim without any bullet drop so you don't have to sight your gun in
Yes
Yes there is
>>34863705
idiot
>>34863623
in short? no.
in long?
nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
>>34863623
Wow gw2 engineer art that isn't shit
>>34863623
The thing that makes the bullets fall down is gravity, not the gun.
>>34863931
If light and time cannot best gravity, what hopes have our toys?
>>34863623
Realistically no, absolutely nothing that has mass will have perfectly flat trajectory within an atmosphere.
Technically, you could make a very, very flat shooting projectile that for all intents and purpose would be completely flat up to any range you would be realistically expected to engage.
