Get home bag doesn't need much. You're literally just driving or walking home. Make sure your car is up to snuff, keep basic repair parts in there. Gun, pepper spray, water, first aid kit, cash, phone charger (if you're forgetful and can't keep a pack charged, get one that uses AA and then keep non-recharagable long shelf life batteries). Plus clothing for whatever weather. You don't need much, just enough for a couple hours.
