First chambered round did this
>>34860199
Second chambered round after peeling it out looked like this
>>34860199
After that they look more normal but still are marred.
>>34860199
The brass seems to catch some hate
>>34860199
This is the same Remington .22lr I've been using since I first used it 20 years ago. What do.
>>34860199
I took her apart amd oiled everything before I tried this because she was sittinf for 5 years.
>>34860199
I don't know much about this specific gun, but I'll try help.
>>34860203
This is very bizzare malfunction.
There could be something obstructing the bore/chamber.
Also by doesn't fire you mean
>bullet doesn't come out, but there is a bang
or
>there is no bang
>>34860403
Pin will not strike. No click. No bang.
>>34860381
But the rounds feed without issue. The problem is bang and brass getting chopped in half
>>34860403
>>34860381
Also will not eject.
>>34860437
So firing pin is positively dead?
>>34860456
I assume you mean doesn't extract.
A) Is firing pin also extractor?
B) Can you press on extractor with your finger?

Most recent attempt. Maybe problem with safety ? Its lose.
But still why is it getting chewed up...
>>34860493
From chambering from magazine or manually?
also read>>34860475
>>34860475
Not sure. Old and not familiar
>>34860509
Either. Tried with and without magazine

What I assume is firing pin (l pointy thing) is very far out? Does it always stay in this position when action is open? Or does it retract when you close the action? Can you push it back (gently) by manually.
I thought maybe the safety was the issue because its loose but no matter the position it still bends and chews rounds. It feeds ok but that's the end of it. Shit just gets bent or chewed to pieces.
>>34860622
The pin is stationary
>>34860622
>>34860647
From what I remember as a kid cleaning it: the pin never moved....
>>34860688
There's also no way to lock the action
>>34860647
It must retract when you close it otherwise you would be unable to. Slowly close the action and observe if it retracts.
The pin only ever slightly moves when the action closes
>>34860715
Do you know how to detach bolt from rest of the gun?
If you can't don't do it. No point of further breaking the gun.
>>34860622
That is an ejector
>>34860802
I assume you aren't OP.
1st replier here OP, I'm going offline so I won't be able to help you if(or when) you come back.
Firing pin is so far back because like>>34860802 said it doubles as ejector. I forgot that some guns do it.
Try pressing on the extractor when racking slide and see if extracts rounds then. If it fixes extraction problems then it means that extractor is broken. If it doesn't it probably means that something else is broken.

Erma .22 Luger clones are generally known as jam-o-matics, there isn't much that can be done, they're pretty much all like this.
