What do you guys think about the GSG MP-40 reproduction? I kind of want to get one but i'm having a hard time justifying it with the whole no stock thing. Also I guess i'm a little reluctant to dip my toe in the wehraboo pool.
>>34855764
Everything GSG makes is shit. Low quality and waaay too expensive. The safety is shit, the magazine is shit, and they have all kinds of malfunctions out of the box. Pass, unless you just really want a shitty mp40 clone.
>>34855764
Enjoy your aids
>>34855764
I've yet to see a GSG gun that wasn't cheap and crappy.
>>34855811
So they're perfect reproductions? HEYO
>>34855764
If I remember correctly, earlier versions of the repro were made from recycled materials.
Enjoy your tin can smg.
>>34855764
I'd like it better if it weren't made out of zinc alloy.
>>34855764
>GSG
Airsoft-grade manufacture, an insanely unreliable toy that will misfeed on you every time

>TFW all you want is a decent working reproduction MP-40 but all the reviews you can possibly find look exactly like the ones in this thread.

Zinc clamshell around a sub-hipoint tier mechanism
>live in a large caliber semiauto banning country
>people praises both the .22LR gsg AK aberrations or the umarex "colt" """"""M4""""""
>retards tacticool the shit out of them with fucking red dots and shits and the prices for them are never below the thousand dollars mark
fucking hate this shit country
>>34855764
>How do you fuck up a gun designed for mass production?
At least make it a 9mm pistol.
>>34859099
being an open bolt, it's probably a hassle to turn it into a proper semiauto and no one would take the risk because the moment they do you'll get hordes of screeching wehraboos sperging out about screws being in a different position just like with HMG StG
>>34859179
yeah, because it's just tiny details and shit, not the proportions of the receiver and magazine being changed, mag release and selectors in completely different positions, plastic magazines, completely different lower/trigger housing, different handguard, AND assorted misplaced screws
>>34859208
aaaaaaaaaaaaannddd like fucking clockwork

>Points out genuine flaws in production

seconded.
Oh shit.
OP here, I didn't think this thread would still be up. Well thanks for the heads-ups amigos. I'll pass on this one,
>>34859498
>screws in another place or a different stamping pattern on a gun that never was intended to be a bona fide replica are somehow a flaw
easy on the 'tism bro
>>34861988
>never was intended to be a bona fide replica
if it isn't for being a historical replica, then what the fuck is it for?
>>34862003
that's a completely different question that has nothing to do with wehraboo chimpouts about MUH STAMPING RIBS
Had one and it was pretty meh, almost everything was shitty cast pot metal. Kinda fun as a range toy but I would not spend more to sbr if I still had it
>>34862003
A more robust semi-auto variant reworked for more modern manufacturing techniques and ammunition while still being even remotely affordable.
Have you watched the videos Ian and Karl did with the owner of the company?
>>34862010
>you can't get mad about it not being accurate because it's not a replica
>what it is if it's not a replica has nothing to do with it looking like a poor copy but you're not allowed to get mad about it
>>34862025
I've watched them all and am thoroughly unimpressed
it looks too poor to be a replica, reproduction, or copy
and it is too heavy and is thoroughly outclassed by basically any other modern rifle, including rifles that cost half or less than half as much
>>34862033
>A more robust semi-auto variant reworked for more modern manufacturing techniques and ammunition while still being even remotely affordable.
>BUT WHY IS IT NOT A REPLICA?
>>34862070
Go the fuck home HMG, no one wants your shit, you were too stupid to so much as create correct stampings and too jewy to make a replica trigger group so you cheaped out and used a surplus G3 one. Embarrassing garbage
>>34862070
but what is it FOR if it's not a replica?
it's not home defense
it's not hunting
it's not competition
it's just a damn toy that kinda looks like an StG but costs twice as much as a good AR or AK and costs as much as most snowflake semi-auto rifles
and this vaporware is still "shipping soon" and has been for years

sucks to be autistic I guess
>>34862117
>too jewy to make a replica trigger group
Not really. I would like to see you waste the man hours required to press and weld this swiss watch like trigger pack together.
>HMG STG meme,
At least the HMG is stamped, has a tilting bolt action, and can use many real STG parts
The "MP40" on the other hand
>Die cast shell halves

my bad... They are star fasteners
