There's a question that's been bothering my mind for some time now and many arguments between me and my family.
My Dad's a retired Infantry Officer from the USMC and my older bro is a 0331 Machine gunner in the USMC
>But
My lil bro is a 11B in the Army and I'm a 68W
We each argue our sides of the timeless argument of branches....
>AH-64 Apache Helicopter
Or
>AH-1 Cobra Helicopter
Who wins?

Not the one that had to be towed across the desert.
I love the Cobra way more but Apache wins if compared to one another.
If you're going for analogies:
The Apache is an F15. The gold standard.
The (Super) Cobra is an F16. Competent, nimble, and cost effective but not as heavy hitting or capable as the F15.
The Kiowa is a crop duster plane fitted with bombs and a hick shooting a sidearm out the window.

>cropduster fitted with bombs and a hick shooting out the window
So did Textron win or is the air force going with the super taco?

And the original AH-1 is an A-4 Skyhawk.

>Not even remotely close to the payload, loiter time, range or response time.
Yeah, nah. One was a very mature aircraft one was a very young aircraft that set up the development of a lot of things after.
