What would happen if you shot a 9mm with a barrel so short that the bullet tip already peaked out?

it'd just shoot the bullet out forward at very low velocity, the chamber would still be supporting the round enough to build up some pressure but it would barely burn the powder and since the only way for the pressure to escape is out the case mouth it'd just pop the bullet out.
