What is the best body protection against gunshot wounds? Ceramic plate sounds like the strongest, being able to stop rifle shot. I donw care about weight, I'll just have to get used to it.

Best is a mix of steel plates, ceramic plates, and kevlar

Come on man, I just dont wanna bleed out.

Depends how big a gun you're protecting against. Level IV will handle anything a normal person would have. Level IIIA (pistols) or III (intermediate rifles) is more common for police use due to lighter weight

>Level IV will handle anything a normal person would have
Level II will handle common handgun rounds and Level IIA will handle them even better. Level IV will handle AP .50 Caliber BMG for chrissake.

No it wont. Its rated at 30.06, 50 BMG SLAP has twice the muzzle velocity and ~7 times the muzzle energy.

Why the everliving FUCK would you wear two sets of plates?

For sides obviously.
>>
Do people buy armor for SHTF or what? When are you planning on wearing this shit?
>>
>>34846559
It depends on what you want the armor for. Here are some things to consider.
>IIIA is the most common for every day wear, will fit under clothes and stop almost all handgun rounds
>level IV ceramic plates will stop most rifle rounds but require a plate carrier
>LARPing faggots covered in gear will be the first to die in SHTF, armor or no armor

I feel like I fall into this section, just beacuse I never post on /k/. Eho's the real LARPer?
>>

Whats the problem with having protection against .50 cal? I mean, youll probably get knocked out, but your shit will remain inside.
>>
>>34847492
You're mistaken bro. Level IIIA the lowest anyone should go for real protection, since Level II can be penetrated by hot FMJ 9mm, .357 SIG, Tokarev, and similar. Level III is adequate rifle protection. Level IV is better but still not .50 BMG
