Due to the recent riots, and escalating race tensions, I am looking to buy my first handgun. I've been putting it off until now. I want a small, concealable pistol that still packs a lot of punch. I want something relatively easy to clean and maintain because I'm a noob. What should I get? I'm not a TOTAL noob. I like shooting, and I'm a pretty good shot, but I usually just rent a gun when I go to the range, and I think it's about time I buy one for myself. Any recommendations?

I just got a RIA M1911 GI in .45 as my first gun. I love it but the ammo is pricey for me
Edit: I also want something relatively cheap, but no foreign shit. I want an affordable, American-made handgun.
>>34843656
I wouldnt worry about trying to conceal. Get a full sized handgun.
>>34843670
this is what I'm doing
and for the same reason as OP
>>34843666
there's no such thing as a "good" american made gun
that said, hk, glock or cz
>>34843746
The proportions of that mag trigger the FUCK out of me.
Goddamn it.
>>34843753
The Kel Tec RDB would like to have a word with you.
get a 38 revolver with a 2" barrel
>>34843764
>bullpup design
>good
pick one
>>34843753
>there's no such thing as a good American made gun
i have a M&p shield, I like it so far.
>>34843785
>muh opinion matters
>when it's been reviewed and widely accepted by people who've actually put their hands on it that it's just about the best thing Kel Tec's come out with
>>34843814
*currently in production

>>34843838
>implying your opinion matters
>>34843753
listen to this humble nigger here
>>34843656
These are a good start for full sized guns but if you want concealed carry, the S&W shield, Glock 43, and Ruger LC9 are the most popular.
You probably shouldn't get your advice from an anonymous messaging board too.
>>34843656
Oh man that's funny
>>34843822
I personally don't prefer the shield over other options (lefty fag), but when limiting to made in the USA, m&p makes great products at affordable prices.
>>34843656
The best choice would be a Ruger LCP II. Cabelas has them for $270, which ain't a bad price at all. Good quality guns made in Newport, NH. Just don't feed them SIG ammo - iv8888 made a video where he said it had problems feeding into his LCP.
>>34843872
I have not once voiced my own opinion in this thread, you mongoloid.
>reading comprehension
>>34843920
Understandable, I fought with myself for a long time between the Shield and a Glock to be completely honest.
>>34843903
Hol up FTFY
>>34844073
what's this then? >>34843764
>>34843753
You can get an American made Glock.
>>34844196
The RPB being good wasn't an opinion when you think it was.
Just stop posting.
>>34844246
RDB.
>>34843753
Hi-points are cheap, but that doesn't make them poorly made.
>>34844224
yeah, and they're shit.
>>34844451
Your opinion is shit.
>>34844246
it wasn't a fact either.
>>34843656
Look into hi-points. People talk shit because they're MSRP $200 with a laser installed, but they're what glock pretends to be: simply a tool designed to function for its intended purpose.
>>34844462
Go watch reviews on it and tell me it's shit.
Go fuck yourself while you're at it, preferably with a fork. You've moved goalposts when you're proven wrong.
>>34844461
that's why people come to the lgs that I work at wanting to trade their USA marked glocks with austrian ones and even pay the difference to do it.
>>34844486
>implying reviews aren't opinions
>>34844507
Then >>34843753 isn't an opinion?
Nice self-defeating mentality you have there, you fucking goof.
>>34844522
i never said it wasn't. you started the shitposting by saying my opinion didn't matter, so i replied with "implying yours does"
Any 4 inch .357
>>34844659
Because your post wasn't a shitpost in the first place?
Opinions of guns you haven't touched don't matter at all but the opinions of people who have do. Get over yourself, fag.
>>34843753
Low quality bait but you got (you)s anyway. Congrats
>>34844891
>replying to yourself
>>34844905
>replying to yourself
>>34844943
>I'm only pretending to be retarded when a post refuting my ill intent and shittily-constructed post and mentality about certain firearms is proven to be a better post than mine
Like pottery.

lmao
>>34843903
ruger 9e a shit. Coming from an unapologetic ruger fag. For the same price you can get a ruger p89 thats full metal and built like a tank,
>>34844474
its hard trying to explain to people a gun can be designed as a tool or as a weapon
>>34845320
It's an outdated image considering the LH9's still on there too, it's a good pistol but the company's more or less going under because they aren't doing a damn thing other than offering overpriced pistols
t. LH9 MKII owner
Only worth it when they went on sale, got image related sans garbage light for 400 funny moneys.
>>34843666
Get a Hi-Point then it's cheap, american made and reliable as fuck
>>34843656
For 99.9% of people, the recent events are nothing but a clickbait article they read at work and promptly forgot about.
