Why do you want the subcompact specifically over the compact? There's not a huge difference in size and you're losing out on so much aftermarket going for the subcompact over the compact or fullsize.

We already missed the rebate on them a few months back, you're probably better off just waiting until you have the money up front and not dealing with layaway. I'm sure there will be more sales for them next year, the design is old and they'll be trying to offload them to make room for the APX anyway.

Seems like the SC version completely defeats the purpose of the PX4, the rotating barrel. Without that, may as well look into other pictures. That said, the compact seemed like a pretty comfy pistol when I finger fucked one a while back. I wouldn't mind the new(ish?) version that came out this year with all the otherwise aftermarket work already done.

+1 I have a subcompact would rather much have the compact. I think there is really only a difference in about a 1/4" in the grip. Plus you get the neat rotating barrel in which the gun was designed for. My subcompact also breakes magazine followers also.

The barrel and locking block are one assembly, so the assembly tilts out of the way in order to eject the spent casing.
