Any special forces organization more elite than Delta Force or the CIA Special Activities Division?
>>
Probably, not that an anime website is likely to know.
>>
You know why they call them special forces?

Because they perform specialized tasks. They aren't interchangeable generalists like infantrymen.

It doesn't make any sense to think in terms of "more elite" when they do different jobs

TL;DR Unit 777

OGA is even higher up the food chain than SAD. It literally stands for "Other Government Agency",
>>
>>34835973
Bullshit, you still have a good few years before the cutoff. The only wall is in your head.
>>

Literally fucking everyone tells me I wont even be able to keep up let alone compete with the kids

Hardly nigga. DEA, FBI, even the rare occasions the IRS when they had a reason to be in Iraq, were recorded as OGA. Theres nothing "elite" about it.
>>
Devgru? 24th STS?
>>
>>34836047
They tell that to everyone. Look at Shrek, dude wantes to be a Ranger and everyone laughed at him. He retired as Delta. Only thing stopping you is yourself. Your mind is gonna quit way before your body.
>>
>>34836139
devgru is on par with delta
>>

Technical Operations Support Activity.

Not more elite but more obscure.
>>
>>34836047
I once heard about an NZSAS guy who passed selection in his mid 40s. No idea of the veracity of that though, but I guess true or not it comes down to how bad you want it.

19 year old seals is a thing?
>>
>>34839559
yep. BUD/S is 6 months, Jump school 4 weeks, SQT 6 months. Counting basic too, you're looking at a year an a half from joining to Trident. Join when youre 18 or hell, even 17 with the waiver and you have an 18-19 y/o SEAL.

KGB Vympel was cool.
>made exclusively by officers
>on average 12 out of 1000 pass the exam
>must know at least 2 foreign languages
>must have masters from university
>5 years of special training, 100.000 rubles/year a member
>preferably have battle experience
>perfect health and psychology
>>
>>34841424
>you will never be a vympel member and operate operationally doing spooky stuff while getting issued AN94s and AEK971s
why even live?
>>
>>34841424
Wouldn't that put the youngest members at 29 though?
>>
>>34841471
True, most of the staff were 30+ years. But again those weren't GRU army units, those are KGB folks who had to be able how to infiltrate NATO counties, kill political leadership, explode nuclear objects, blow up infrastructure etc.
>>
>>34841424
There's a bit of lost in translation there.

Vympel operatives were not required to be military officers, but had to sit a KGB exam. This made them "officers" in that sense of the word. Everything else is correct, however. The language requirements were fluency in one and proficiency in the other.

Unit 777
>>
>>34841767
It's where broken or retired or sometimes forcibly-retired SEALs go.
>>
>>34839805
All they did was watch how the FBI did it and didn't even do any shooting.

Same with the SAS who were there too to keep an eye on the british waco militants too.

Seems a bit silly to hold it against them. Especially since the whole reason the feds massively ramped up the response was because 4 feds got killed and 19 got shot, before the feds had the fucking retreat at gunpoint dragging their corpses in front of national tv.
>>
>>34842405

the guys that fly the stealth blackhawks.

think about this. we know it exists and have seen pictures of the wreckage. China and Russia probably have gone over the wreckage.

yet we have not seen one in real life at an air show or anywhere else since. while the F-117, B-2, F-22, f-35, and the drones all have been more or less public since the govt admitted to them existing.
>>
>>34839162
So, if I became an officer at 25, and was in good fitness going in, would I have a chance?

In Soviet rubles (around 1981: 1 USD = 0.9 Soviet Rubles) although those were not really convertible. So, a year of training for an officer cost around 100K. Vympel does no longer exist though.

That would be the official narrative. After the congressional hearings. It came out that there was a deception. Lies and tampering and destroying of evidence. Flir footage shows a different event than the narrative that was fed to the general public. And finally after years of not having access to the evidence, Investigators have been able to bring a lot of it to the public's attention. And it does not paint a good picture for the agency and those involved. It's time for you to bring yourself up to speed anon. Especially the high res flir footage.
