First gun I ever bought new was nerds 380 for $150.
It was extremely underrated at the time.
I didn't oil the rails proper and it being an aluminum frame gun I wore it out; good gun though.

I dunno, I've never shot a mak, but my p64 is a fun little range toy. Dead accurate at 25 yards too.

>comblock
>uses slightly different ammo than much more common handguns
>junk quality control
>cheap and abundant
>there are poorfags who who live with their parents bought it and will defend it because tehy can't afford a proper 9mm gun.

At least the Mosin Nagant at least kinda fun to use.
>>
>>34834777
Trips of truth. P64 poorfags btfo
>>
>>34834016
Honestly, I think at least 2/3's of the hate is from people who mix up Argentina with Brazil and expect it to be a Taurus.
Argentina's like the third-best South American country. They actually know how to make guns.
>>
The Bersa works fine. The only issues I've had were a result of iffy quality magazine springs from the factory.
The P64 is very well made but not well thought out. It would have made a better 32ACP than a 9x18. The trigger is awful until you swap springs and recoil is very snappy.
Also the improved Walther PPK is called a SIG P232. The Beretta 85 is an ok substitute.
>>
>>34834074
no idea, honesty my bersa in particular tends to not like flat nosed FMJ rounds. Eats up round nose and hollow points just fine. I would buy one over a walther mainly for its lower price, improvements in its operation, and also because it is a gun that you wouldent feel too bad about losing if the cops tried to take it as a form of evidence, only to never give it back or a weapon that may be occasionally dropped/abused.

>>
>>34835578
Who is ahead of Argentina?
>>
>>34834036
Mine did the same until I gave it a thorough cleaning. Bersa ships them with cosmoline all over the place so they won't rust in transit. I disassembled mine and cleaned the shit out of it, and was shocked how much black gunk I pulled out of a nearly-new gun. Make sure to disassemble and clean your magazines, too - especially inside the feed lips. Once I'd done all of that, I had no more problems with it.
>>

Holy shit your gun sucks. That thing belongs wedged inside the waistband of some Jordan basketball shorts, with malt liquor rubbed along the slide rails for lube

My thunder cc is fine. There's definitely a 'break in' period to them but after that it's shot fine. Shitty sights and double action is trash but built fine and didn't jam when I needed to defend myself which is all I need a pistol to do I guess.

Try the P-83, the P-64's successor. Similar design with more ergonomic controls, a slide release, and a better DA trigger.
>>

>and also because it is a gun that you wouldent feel too bad about losing if the cops tried to take it as a form of evidence,

Carry a shitty weapon to save your own life because too cheap to deal with the vanishingly small odds of losing it after using it.

That's fucking stupid.

>FTF in gunfight. OP bleeds out saving money....
>>
>>34834016

The danger there is that you're more likely to get a lemon like I did. Bersa's warranty process was such a pain in the ass that I didn't even bother. To be fair part of that was because a bunch of gun stores near me closed simultaneously.

My experience with them had been good. I have been carrying one for a couple months now. I suggest getting one of these Galco holsters off of amazon, if you intend on carrying. So far after about 600 rounds I haven't had a single malfunction. I did clean it after about 400 rounds. DA pull is on the heavy side, SA isn't too bad. I'm actually very accurate with this little gun. 8+1 .380 gives me good peace of mind as well
>>
>>34834016
They are good guns, perfectly suitable for self defense. Nothing really special about them. One of my more boring guns for sure
>>
>>34834016
ppk is outdated and old, loved because muh James Bond. Bersa, no matter what they make, it a literal garbage fire.
>>
>>34840084
Sounds like you have a ton of experience with bersa products anon.
>>
>>34840110
Your right I don't, but I have access to the greatest information sharing tool of all time, and unless the whole of the internet is out to get some Argentinian company, the consensus is that Bersa is an absolute pile of garbage.
>>
>>34834016
they're decent pistols but mine has some QC issues. Also the 200 round breakin just to wear down the shitty feed ramp is bullshit, 5 minutes with a dremel at the factory would do a lot for their reputation.
>good trigger
>light recoil
>bad parts like plastic grips and slide safety in the way of serrations
>cheap finish and paint
>magazine disconnect in grip that needs to disabled
>aluminum frame
it's good for the $250 I paid for it but the "good $250" market is getting bigger. If I get another Bersa it's going to be one of the Ultras. The way it's run since I got it and cleaned the pint of grease out of it hasn't impressed me enough to want to daily carry it.

Bersa has overall a good reputation on the internet. You can find haters for literally anything.

Also, The company was started by italian engineers from beretta.
>>
>>34840268
By that logic every noguns that screams about the glocknade meme is true, literally every glock that has ever existed has in fact blown up or will blow up.

Why do armies and special forces around the world keep adopted them with no issues?

Well obviously they arent informed!

Dickhead
>>
>>34836596
totally this

quality is relative & even the best most expensive gun makes still ship a lemon every now & then but their crap percentage is very low, while bersa & taurus have a higher crap percentage

most people who buy that crap just throw it away after dealing with all the gdamn problems and feel embarassed for falling for their low cost hi quality b.s.

which leaves the fanboys to keep spewing their bersa is gr8 drivel

fuck those shit tier companies i recommend HIPOINT before either bersa or taurus
>>
>>34840342
You find tens of thousands gleaming reviews of glocks though. Bersa'a tend to be mixed at best.
>>
>>34840347
>taurus have a higher crap percentage

>not sticking to taurus revolvers and beretta clones, aka the only guns they actually know how to make and are more often than not a good deal.

Their plastic guns and 1911s range from terrible to unsafe, but they do some good stuff
>>
>>34840436
pt 111 g2 is an excellent gun. Beyond that, revolvers and beretta clones only.

I like my Thunder. Got it for $200 used. The double and single action trigger feel pretty good to me. Has eaten every make of ammo I've given it. I've had 2ftf out of about 600rnd, both were at the end a shooting session when the gun was pretty dirty from cheap Monarch steel cased ammo.

I've only had 2 mechanical issues. The first I inherited from the PO: the hammer pin was chipped so when I took off the grips the c-clip holding the draw-bar fell off. Ordered a new hammer pin and c-clip and fixed it.

Second issue was that the laminated grips I ordered had the screw holes recessed deeper then the OEM plastic grips. This caused the screws to drop down too much and bind the sear in DA fire. Used some solder-wire to make spacers for the screws and no more issue.

I like the pistol and am fairly accurate with it. It's reliable enough that I carry it. I am thinking of switching back to the plastic grips for carry. The laminated grips make it more comfortable to shoot long strings at the range but they really add bulk to the pistol.

No, its there because its designed to be israeli carried so an unusable DA trigger doesnt matter. Most other DA/SA guns have a DA pull not even half as heavy and are perfectly safe to carry.
