.25 autos are a good choice. Ask if there is a brand name or manufactuer markings on it

.25 is only good for up close frontal shots. It may or may not glance off skulls at sharp angles but a direct hit will go thru

Even if you have a .25acp, it will still feel inadequate and you'll regret it. Its not even good for intimidation. Go all in on the 9mm.

Don't buy it until you've had a chance to put a few magazines through it to make sure it works. Somebody could be trying to unload junk on you.

Don't buy it unless you can get a reasonable quantity of ammo for it. A gun without ammo is no better than a rock.

Any gun is better than no gun and plenty of people have been killed by .25s, but they are less effective than other calibers on non vital shots. Bullets don't kill people, they cause injuries that a person eventually dies (or is disabled) from. Larger bullets cause bigger injuries that disable people more quickly. 9mm is not a penis compensator, the bullets are larger, heavier, and faster and cause more serious injuries and stop people faster than a .25. 9mm is better, but you can still defend yourself with a .25, especially if the other person doesn't have a gun.

You have no gun experience, so make sure you can afford to practice and have a place you can practice. A .25 is a relative peashooter, if you ever have to defend yourself with one you will probably have to fire several shots, and that's what you should practice: Drawing your gun and quickly and accurately firing several rounds.

Since guns are illegal in your country, no one else has one, once you have one, no one will be able to stop you from taking over. Buy it (if it works).

It's a good gun. And yea its good enough. In the united states at least, shot placement has more to do with death rates concerning handguns than the size of the bullet.
