Both are fine. Id recommend the 930 if you aren't used to using pump guns though. Nothing to fuck up under stress or due to an injury. They tend to run fine with any normal loads

Real question is if a clean 930 is more likely to malfunction than you are to fuck up working the pump under stress.

the part of the country where I live is dense woods essentially. 100m openings are pretty rare. everything is very close .

I'm thinking main usage would be HD and my main weapon in SHTF scenario.

I have an 870 that I use for trap but i wouldn't say Im an expert by any means. and you aren't really working the slide like crazy in that situation anyway

Not typically a real problem. Don't roll it around in the dirt.

You get a good amount in either one and risk binding up the action badly.

That being said, the pump gun will likely take longer to become truly unreliable if you perform zero maintenance and/or expose the gun to field abuse.

Pump and I'd mount the bayonet. It's not going to be frequently used, but occasionally you'll run into an enemy at point-blank while clearing rooms or tunnels. It's also quieter than a shotgun blast, which could be useful if infiltrating. Lastly, the glint of a polished steel blade can be particularly unnerving. It's all too easy for men to fixate on it and the need to get away.

If I had to take a shotgun into combat it would be short and lightweight because most of the time it's going to be strapped to my back. Fighting is done primarily with rifles in 2017.
