Okay guys... should I trade my Springfield GI 1911 for this ruger ar556. I know it's a budget AR but they are around the same value. Thoughts
I just don't have an AR yet. I've got some surplus rifles but nothing semi automatic or made after 1950

Sell your gi and get a TRP
do you have an ar ?do you have other pistols? personally, im wearing of trading for anything ar15 unless i get the better deal. ar market is crazy saturated right now, evenything ar15 is cheap.

I'm too attached to mine. Pardon my trigger control.
>>34824511
i see, make the trade if you want then. its a fair trade price wise.

Also fuck my iPhone
>>34824544
yeah i know you can get an AR for cheap nowadays. I do have a sig p6 and a CZ 75 SP-01 tactical. plus a .38 revolver . hard to decide. i love my 1911 but dont see myself having the cash for a good amount of time

doesn't matter if its not loaded

>trading steel and wood for tupperware

>>34824656
This can be remedied
>>34824595
like i said above, the deal is fair. you arent going to go wrong either way, so go with your gut instinct
>>34824728
ok so you and the other dullards can understand, which word didnt make sense?

>>34824789
oh boy
>>34824786
I think il go with the AR but do you or anyone know anything about the Ruger ar556? hear good things or nah?
>>34824844
theyre fine. the only negative, if you even want to call it that, is it uses a non standard fsb and delta ring. not an issue at all imo, if you want to tacticool it up with a rail, youll be swapping those things anyway.

Rugers are very competent armalite-pattern rifle platform(according to Lt. colonel nutnfancy) so take it with a grain of salt.
>>34824597
Always treat it as if it were loaded, famalam
>>34824487
Dont do that trade..
You can build a AR for cheap, like 400 bucks..
Save the cash, less paperwork to keep track off two with the trade.

>>34825058
400 bucks. how good could it be?
>>34824487
No. Thats dumb.
Dont get rid of any arms annon.
Buy them, and build a collection.
ARs are only getting cheaper, and theyre fucking EVERYWHERE. Anyways, you should research all the ars you can, and look for one with the specs you like.
You will regret your decision one day if you trade, mark my words.

I have an ar that was roughly 500$, diamondback CCB.
Its a very nice rifle. Has taken everything I've thrown at it with pride.
Other people report feeding them steel case with no problem, and one guy says he dropped his off a 20 foot cliff and it was fine.
Im not going to do that to mine, but if its species has survived that, mine should too, right?

If it's not loaded dry fire is fine, this is a fudd rule. As long as it's not pointing at any human being or animal (which includes through walls) and is checked even if you set it on the coffee table and pick it up while still in sight then it's fine to dry fire and pretend to LARP as john wick around your house with

>i can't ever field strip or clean my gun because it's loaded :(
