I used to have one. It's fucking trash. .410 is useless out of such a short barrel and .45lc is outclassed by just about every modern pistol caliber out there. It's a gimmick that people buy into because it's a got-dang shotgun revolver

My recommendation would be a full/compact 9mm semi-auto from the reputable maker of his choice. If his benis is fixated on wheelguns(benis like wheelguns) I'd recommend a GP100 with a 4-6"bbl in .357mag.

The novelty of it wears off quickly. .45 LC and .410 are both trash. .410 is good out of a shotgun, terrible out of that thing. The spread was terrible and velocity of .410 shells was terrible. I traded mine and some cash for a Wilkinson Arms Linda.

In all honesty I live in West Texas and it is my most commonly used firearm, I use it at least twice a week for snakes or peppering coyotes and it works amazing for that but I wouldn't carry it for SD I would stick with my p227

I wouldn't NOT own one, I just wouldn't pay much for one at all because it isn't worth it. Wouldn't carry it as my primary defense or CC weapon either.

It's better than a sharp stick for self defense in most situations.

I have one. It's ok, but wouldn't be my first choice in any self-defense situation. It's a pain in the ass to carry, both due to its size and its weight. I only bought it because I was new to guns at the time and thought it was neat. It's definitely a meme gun, and I wouldn't buy it again if I was given a do over. It's not useless, but it's strictly a range gun for me. If you have to have a .410 handgun, the Governor is also an option. I've never had problems with my Judge, but I am well aware of Taurus' reputation.

TL;DR It's a meme and a range gun. If that's what you're looking for, have fun.
