Due to them being able to handle spitzer style rounds sure. So long as we are talking anything past 300 yards. Anything shorter than that though the rounded off bullets work just fine and out of a rifle that has not only just about the same capacity as a typical bolt gun but also has superior follow up.
Bolt guns are better for long range shit and needing a fast reload if you are dealing with actual combatants but for the average Hunter working in a typical 50 to 300 yard setting who realistically isn't ever going to need or use more than 5 rounds at once will greatly benefit from the faster smoother follow up of the lever gun. It's all subjective anon.
