Should I get a USP in 9 or .45? I already have a really nice 1911 in .45ACP but nothing in 9

fuck usp in 9. get a p2k in 9, or p30/vp9 they are on sale...
>>

this the USP is 45 or go home anything else feels not at home
>>
>>34798423
Good taste in pistols negro. Do you have a hk45c? I tried a usp45c and the grip would shift in my hand and by the last 4-5 rounds it would be pounding into my knuckle bone, does this happen with the 45c?

Thanks
>>
>>34798581
I know, the majority of the people here are nogunz anyway.
>>34798597
I prefer your mom to do all the blowing.
>>34798626
That depends, do you want to get rid of your 1911? You might if you got the USP 45 because they shoot that good. It's really up to you, I would get both but since you have nothing in 9 get that first. The full size 9 takes polymer mags whereas the 45 is steel. Not sure why they did that but it is what it is.
>>34798729
I've shot one but can't really comment on whether it would work for you. I have large hands so it's fairly easy for me to get a nice grip on them. If you've been shooting other handguns you'll probably have to retrain to shoot the USP but it's worth it. I know my thumb knuckle was a bit sore the first few times I went but everything smoothed out. It used to bite my finger when I shot but I realize that my grip was fucked up and I wasn't putting enough finger on the trigger. When I hold one I first center it in my hand between the thumb and pointer finger, that way the recoil doesn't beat up my thumb knuckle, I then put my whole finger through the trigger guard as much as I can. This way I pull the trigger with my trigger finger near one of my knuckle bones and not with the pad of my finger. I hope this makes sense to you. Don't give up if you had one or two bad experiences because I had to retrain myself to hold and shoot them proper and now I can hit a man sized target at 100 yards with my uspc.
>>
>>34798423
H&k could have been god tier if they had made the vp9 the size of a p2000/ G19. I prefer LEM to striker fired for my own reasons but I could see it becoming really popular. I wouldn't say Glock is trash, but hk IS significantly better. Also Sig has been trash since ((cohen)) took over and they stopped producing their guns in Germany. A W. German p228 with a SRT installed is next on my list
>>
>>34798776

Vp9sk.
>>34798815
Those are toys, we are talking about real guns here.
>>
>>34798776
Everything you experienced with the USPc happened to me. I think I'm just going to get a p2000 or USPc in 9mm since i think it's the snappier recoil of the 45 that causes it to hurt my hand - I don't want to have to readjust my grip just to shoot it comfortably, especially since I'm going to use it for IDPA/ all day "tactical" training as well as carry
>>
tell me about the P2000 and p2000sk, i'm in the market for a new carry gun but no one seems to own one outside of the rare H&K threads.
>>
Because beretta.
>>
>>34798423
How's the daughter? Filling out well?

Remember it's not haram for the father to have first taste.
>>
>>34798832
Try those out as well. Once you get used to the feel there won't be adjusting while shooting. Also did you shoot a 45 compact or full size? The full size has a dual recoil spring and it makes shooting very smooth. The compacts use a buffer in place of this spring system and it feels snappier.
>>34798840
Basically they are the same gun but the sk is smaller and what I would prefer for carrying.
>>34798843
Shite.
>>
>>34798815
Only Walther I'd get is a ski ramp p99 just for the aesthetics and trigger. Their p88s were cool but with parts availability it would mostly be a safe queen for me.

>>34798826
PPS classic is the perfect BUG for someone who carries an Hk. I'm surprised you're unaware. You're a euro muzzie right? Are you fairly white? Just curious
>>
>>34798849
It was a compact, the full size would be the best of both worlds but I'm strictly looking for a carry gun ATM
>>
>>34798849
i just meant how are the p2000/sk in terms of general quality, accuracy, etc
>>
>>34798840
Basically, they are very similar to the USP, except the polymers are of 'lesser' quality, there is no .45 version, the have slides releases on both sides [which some auts. hate.], there is no fs, just comp and subcomp, um what else... oh yeah they are cheap to own and very nicely made guns. i would say the finish is a little worse on them. just a little bit. they lem version is the one you want, but the v3 has the best da/sa i have ever shot. apparently some spick atf or border patrol agent blew his up. that is why they get a no rep. they probably will stop being produced soon. don't know what else to tell you. i would get a p2ksk and but a pinky extension for the lewls. oh and store them in a nice and dry place. lube em at least once a month... they last you forever. if you do not like the mag release lever, you can upgrade to a usp one for like 20 bucks.
>>
>>34798423

If I wanted to clobber someone to death with a blunt object, there's no need to spend ~$2000 on said object.
For shooting people, Glock works perfectly fine, and compared to HK USP their triggers feel positively match-grade.
>>
>>34798889
Basically what this guy said but I actually prefer the bluish finish, which hasn't worn very much through my kydex holster. I have no idea what he means by polymer is of lesser quality but I doubt that it's correct.

The reason they're cheap is because if you're a classic h&k fag you want the usp, if you just want the most tactical 9mm pistol you get the p30 because of the spidey grip and 1913 rail. The p2k is the middle child and gets no love despite being an excellent pistol which has more of a glock type rail which I actually prefer since it's less ugly and still does it's job
>>
>>34798859
I actually carry a S&W shield as my BUG but I'm looking to replace it for a p2000sk. I know of the PPS line but I'm not really interested in Walther guns apart from their older ones.
>You're a euro muzzie right?
Yes
>Are you fairly white?
Yep
>>34798872
Yeah for carry I would look at the p2000 or the p2000sk. I carry a USPC in 9mm.
>>34798881
Just as good as any of the USP guns albeit in a smaller package. Quality will be top notch like many other HK products, accuracy will be amazing as well due to the quality of the barrels HK makes.
>>34798889
I'm not really sure if the polymer is any different, and I don't own a P2000 to comment on the durability of the finish but when I compared them at an LGS it was very comparable to the USP.
>>34798925
>glock has a better trigger than the USP
Haha no.
>>
Because the jet funnel is ugly as fuck and no factory red dot mounting solution as far as I can tell.
>>
>>34798949
Whats wrong with the PPS? i hear the PPS and PPQ are pretty well loved and are a great deal due to the rebate
>>
>>34798978
While not factory there are plenty of places that will machine your slide and there is plenty of room for them to do that and not fuck anything up but I wouldn't really do that unless I was competing, and if I was competing I would just go with the cheapest option available due to how many parts you're going to be blowing through.
>>34798981
I'm trying to get rid of striker fired guns for my EDC which is why I'm looking to get rid of my shield. I'm sure they are nice guns, but I'm super picky with my tastes and Walther doesn't really meet them. The reason why I want to get rid of the striker is because I also carry a USPc and I want the same training regimen for both as well as similar feel in trigger pull.

>>
>>34798423
because the newer models just aren't as good as the older ones, like the vp9 proved, and the older ones are just dated, they are to bulky, heavy, and don't hold enough rounds for their size, they lack a proper rail, and the ergos aren't all that great eider, usps are great handguns, just as 1911 and hi-powers, but when it comes to being actually useful, they can't mach newer handguns.
>>
>>34800489

It just doesn't live to their predecesors, it has poor fit, the slide releases wiggle a lot, then there is the tap water can break it meme, it's not that it's a bad gun, just not what you would expect from hk, it's just another generic 9mm striker fired handgun
>>
>>34800795

People modify glocks because they are so easy and cheap to modify. People think that simply by modifying them they are making them better, in reality they are almost always making them worse.

Trigger disconnectors cause a mushy trigger.
Trigger spring kits cause light strikes and general unreliability.

>>34798889
wow i never you seen post before. yes this is a very accurate description. but i do not agree with the finish and poly parts. my only complaint would be that the lower teeth/metal things that hold the slide on fuck do not know what it is called, i do not want to sound autistic, but the metal teeth things that are in the polymer on the lower of the gun, seem to have rubbed off some of the plastic/polymer. kinda like shredded it. is this an issue with all usp/p2k guns? fuck i sound retard... other than that it shoots really nice, is cheap, looks sexy as fuck.

>>
>>34802028
Basically it boils down to police trading their guns in, people selling their personal guns, and recently a shipment that wasn't fulfilled so company had to sell them for really cheap. Check armslist and gunbroker for deals. HK used to make USP in that caliber but you can for sure get a new barrel too.
>>
>>34802094
HK parts is my go to for any HK related nonsense. I don't think you have to change magazines for it but I'm not 100% sure because I don't own the 40 version.

I'm not a fan of polymer frames for some odd reason.
I was very excited to try out a USP at the range, but just was not a fan. However, that weight might help. If I could try it with the comp, maybe. Don't want to buy the pistol and the comp just to realize I still don't like it.
