I shot a USP 45 range rental. In addition to the issues I mentioned, it also jammed multiple times per magazine. Paddle release a shit. To use it with any speed at all, you need to use fine motor co trol to lift your index finger out of the trigger guard and either bend it sideways uncomfortably or contort your hand so that your index finger bends normally. With a button release, you just squeeze the grip a little (if that) to give your thumb enough purchase on the button. No twisting required. Paddle release simply requires more movement and more finesse to use.

When you have a firearm with a ton of aftermarket accessories this is what inevitably happens. Sometimes it's a good thing that enhances a competent shooter's use of the gun. Other times beginners try to buy skill or engage in retail therapy, but would be better served by investing in training and practice. Really, imo all you need to do to a Glock is switch out the sights. The end.
