"Thunder Run" is a good one, about the armoured strike in Baghdad.
"Blackhawk Down", obviously.
"Robert's Ridge" is a good one in A-stan.
"13 Cent Killers" about snipers in Nam'.
I know I have more, that's what just came to the top of my head.

One of the best pieces of literature for war and politics is Thucydides' Peloponnese War.
The Education of Cyrus by Xenophon is very interesting as well. Maybe you might not be interested in that time period, but most of the things in them transcend time and are relevant today as ever.
