If have $1800 and want an HK, which of these is the most "HK" HK?
Mk23
MP5A3 clone
PTR91

Open to other suggestions too.
>>
>>34780372
Real question Does the Mk23 come with a LAM and suppressor if no

MP5A3 is most HK
>>
>>34780412
No. An authetic LAM usually costs like $1k by itself.
>>
>>34780412
LAM?

Are you fucking high? Good luck finding that, seriously. You want the socom? The real one? The laser infrared unit has haunted the dreams of everybody who wants a mark 23.

It'd be the one he'd shoot the most seeing the cost of 9mm so thats actually very practical. That fucking action is known to go throigh steel cased ammo like its cool so uhhhhh god imagine the amounts of guilt free pewing. Also cooler than a plastic cz scorpion for sure.

Are expensive claw mounts worth it?
thinking about this B&T

>>
>>34781307
>>34782182
It's not really about practicality for me, though having some use like for HD would be a nice plus. It'd more be for range fun and variety.
I like the idea of using a 9mm SBR for HD but I'd be worried about all the evidence lockup horror stories as well as how it'd look legally if I was using a 2 stamp NFA item to kill butt burglars.

An MP5 would be my first PCC, a Mk23 or USP would be my first non boat anchor .45, and the PTR would be my first 7.62 NATO.
>>
>>34780966
Is that a reverse stretch? who did the build?
>>
>>34782711
I like the Mp5 honestly or the Mk23

the PTR is the cheapest of the three and will be the easiest to get down the road.

2-3moa. From what I've heard accuracy can be greatly improved by replacing or working the trigger. G3 clones have notoriously heavy trigger pulls because the Germans were autistic about their rifles being soldierproof.

Gen2. I've tried magpuls, bulgarian waffle, polish slab side, romanian steel, Hungarian 20s. For ammo I've tried Winchester, PMC, Fiocchi, and Yugo M67. I can see the ejector lever is too low just looking in with the bolt pulled back. Tried a different locking piece to get more aggressive cycling too. Nothing works. At best the empty case gets halfway out the ejection port. Most times it gets plopped on top of the next round and both are slammed into the breech face.

I favor the classic look, on an original CETME parts kit.
Had to invest some money in getting my receiver straightened out after a few thousand rounds and a re weld of the trunnion to the receiver, but worth every penny fixing one of the few earlier Century CETMEs that wasn't a complete lemon
>>
Is an SL8-6 worth the money? I want the integrated optic and not the flattop. I might eventually try converting it as a long project, but for now I'm just interested in it as a .223 rifle. Hey guys I test drove a USP 45C and hated it
>safety was really stiff to disengage, slowed me down considerable
>da/sa trigger actually wasn't that bad but because it pinched the fuck out of my trigger finger
>grip was too narrow, after a couple rounds the grip shifted so that it banged against my thumb knuckle instead of the web of my hand - very painful
>gun felt very accurate but the front sight was too narrow so I got a bit of unnecessary vertical stringing
>>
>>34798328
Does the HK45C fix any of these issues? I'll probably tgs LEM it so the trigger/safety won't be an issue, and the sights can be replaced as well. I guess my biggest issue is the grip, does the p2000 type grip cause this to happen to you? In 9mm it probably isn't an issue but a 45 to 45 +p in a compact polymer handgun has a bit of recoil which causes it to shift around in my hand. I also prefer the angled trigger guard of the 45C.

I really like HKs build quality and durability, but I want to find the right model.
>>
>>34798360
Of course I'd love to test a 45C, but my range doesn't have one, does anyone have experience with one? If you don't think the redesigned grip would help I'll just get a p2000 in 9mm

I have the shortest/lowest picatinny BT mount and I love it.
Wasn't even expensive at all, like the equivalent of $60. Last time I checked it was $90 ish on HKparts.

>>34788461
>>34789307

What handguard?
I need something to put an X400 on, the thin surplus handguard is aesthetic as fuck, but honestly not very practical.

>>34794261

I fingerfucked and shot one at a HK partner demo a couple of months ago, it was a huge disappointment to be honest. I expected something exclusive feeling, but it was just the same G3 run-of-the-mill stamped roller gun, with a nicer trigger, an optic that was probably all the rage in 1970 and groupings on par with the SVD with 7n1.

Anyone here have experience with Omega from Atlantic Firearms?
Last I heard, it had something to do with Todd Bailey which was a no go.

Also, is there any reason to get an MP5 pistol and SBR it with a collapsing stock when the collapsing Gear Head brace is coming out soon?

Supposedly it's Todd's brother making a valiant effort to not do all of Todd's fuck ups. Quality and customer service so far seem great from what I've heard.

I wonder if Galil mags fit. If it is possible to fit a Galil to stanag insert, then there is a way for PTR to make a 5.56 gun from t ptr32, a PTR41?

ptr in .308 is comfy as fuck to shoot, feels like an AR as far as recoil. Only thing is it's forward heavy and if you aren't used to carrying that kind of weight, it gets heavy...FAST. also save for the G.I.R. model so if you decide to drop an optic on it. it's like 80 bucks more so the return is quite a bit better.
>>
>>34788354
century arms a shit, buy an FAL or PTR. If rich snobfag buy an original G3

i have a p2000sk. i have noticed that the metal teeth on each side of the lower that ride and or hold the slide in place have bits of loose or shredded polymer... there is no play on the teeth. i have contacted hk waitin for response. should i worry?
>>
>>34803129
If you're referring to the slide rails, that's normal. My p30sk had a little and my USP has substantially more on each section. It's just extra material left over from the molding process that'll wear off with use.

If it's not then I have no idea.

Those are two incredibly handsome USPs.

Didn't they say they were going to have the rifles out this year at SHOT? I remember watching several videos of their booth rep talking about it.

Will be interesting to see, they have been brought in by ATI in the past but have to be single stack with no threaded barrel to deal with imports.

Don't you try to trivialize a catastrophic problem in a shitty gun. A lemon is when you have some issues with proper functioning in your rifle. A gun that explodes and slamfires is a hazard to your safety and wellbeing and that of others.

>>
>>34803208
You're an idiot. They both have about the same failure rate while the vector costs about twice as much as a c93. Only cool thing about the vector is having a paddle mag release. Hk forum is plagued with vectors that suck as well as century problems. You speak as if one is better than the other when they are both a dice roll.
>>
>>34804230
Hahahahaha you lying sack of shit you have become all the retarded memes.
> slamfire is a feature
It doesn't matter if century got receiver flats barrels or whatever from ptr they are going to fuck up the welding you know these receivers and shit require welding ptr didnt weld it for them you trust century to weld shit correctly? They are known to grind the bolt to force headspace, which happens because they suck at putting the barrels and receivers together and fucking suck at welding so they have to grind your bolt so it will headspace when it leaves their doorstep.

Maybe you got an outlier and maybe and more likely you're full of shit. What's your roundcount bud? 100 rounds?
>>
>>34805175
HEY FUCK FACE THESE RECEIVERS ARE FLAT PIECES OF SHEETMETAL YOU STUPID RETARD FUCK ITS NOT LIKE A FUCKING FAL RECEIVER OR EVEN AN AR RECEIVER WHICH WHEN BUILT IS DONE AND GOOD AND SHIT JUST SCREWS IN CETME AND PTR RECEIVERS ARE JUST FLAT FUCKING PIECES OF SHEETMETAL THAT GET PRESSED AND IN THIS CASE GIVEN THE CENTURY TREATMENT. C308's having ptr "receivers" is meaningless. The only thing more meaningless is your pathetic roundcount which you think makes you some expert.
