My buddy got one by mistake, the trigger is pretty bad. It's top heavy, the bore axis and slide are like a brick above your hand flopping around. It doesn't have good aftermarket, it offers nothing over a regular glock, and if you do shoot it a lot it eats striker retaining pins, my buddy just ended up making a bunch out of nails because it happened often enough and replacement parts were hard to find.

tl;dr it sounds good on paper but get one and after a while you'll find out why nobody buys it.

I have an XD and the only reason I don't like it that much is that the only thing I use it for is IDPA. The ergos are a bit blockish, the gun gets slick quick in hot weather, and it's snappier than most in its class by a hair which only matters if you do something like shoot IDPA so it annoys me.

Has literally never jammed though and it'd work fine as a duty pistol.

My XD9 has not experienced a malfunction in almost 2000 rounds. I've had a CZ-75 fail to fire rounds with hard primers, I've seen a friend's Glock 23 have jam multiple times. All the while supposedly the "croatshit gun is crap".

The loudest opponents of the gun have no first hand experience with one.
