Dallas PD is now allowing their officers to carry the Sig P320 again. There is a section in the user manual where it states the gun may fire if dropped which caused the whole misunderstanding. The P320 meets a bunch safety standards and there have been no reports of the gun firing when dropped.

Now with all of that said I am waiting for the U.S. Army to finally field the P320 so I can hear about the durability and which parts are common in breaking.

Not sure if you've confused the p320 for the 250 or just don't know how striker fired works. Generally its more like SAO than anything. Difference is that the slide travel only mostly cocks the trigger and then the trigger being pulled finishes the cocking and releases.
