Hello /k/. What you guys think about Magnum Research's BFR/Big

Personally I can't stand the way they look and I'm pretty sure 45-70 out of a 10 inch barrel is anemic af.

Short of loading pistol powder (or just faster burning powders) not sure how the lack of barrel length can be overcome without it being a wristbreaker. Would be fun to fuck with black powder loading

Most factory .45-70 loads are going to be wimpy as hell out of the BFR. With handloads it can be a real handful. I load a 500gr soft point over 44grs of RL7 using Winchester magnum rifle primers.

The guns themselves are very well made and are much smoother than any giant single action revolver have any right to be.
