America: revolvers, lever action rifles, precision rifles, shotguns, heavier guns like recoilless rifles and machine guns.

Germany/Austria/Switzerland: submachine guns, pistols, carbines

Russia: assault rifles.

Britain: muskets.

This, even though ARs are better than AKs imo, I'd say that the Russians have done some innovative stuff in the past few years like the Ak-104 and the AN-94, even if those guns weren't/aren't ideal service rifles they are great assault rifles. That being said I think the US hasn't really made an effort to make a new gun.
