I'm wanting to get a bullpup rifle and I can't decide between the FS2000 or the Tavor. Does anyone have real hands on experience with either who can give me some insight on how they handle? I've watched several jewtube videos on both and I'm torn between them. Thoughts?
>>
>>34713459
I don't however, I am want a bullpup myself . Personally, I am waiting for lithgow arms to release the Atrax F90 to the american market. Nothing I would love more then have 16" and 20" barrels for it. Even the 20" is smaller then a 14.5" AR.
>>
AUG
>>
>>34713478
Also, its been shown to have good accuracy and is used by AUS military.

Is there any reason to spend over twice as much for either of those guns when the RDB exists?

Not baiting but I've asked a few times and the only real responses I've got is

>Kel-tec (I dont like them)
>FS2000 is military proven
>>
>>34713512
Keltec doesn't have a great track record with its polymer
>>
>>34713512
>buying kelkek
>ever
>>
>>34713512
>Not buying Fisher's gun
>>
>>34713478
Wasn't aware of this before, looks bretty gud. Does it require proprietary mags like the AUG? The reason I'm leaning towards the 2 in the OP is because they both use standard AR mags. I'm not in a position right now to buy a rifle and then buy special mags for said rifle

>>34713481
See above

>>34713512
I would rather have the RFB for a bullpup in .308
>>
Go with the x95 tavor and don't look back.
>>
>>34713459
Personally I like the boat just because I like the strange design.
>>
>>34713555
You can get AUGs that use standard AR mags, however AUG mags are god tier magazines
>>
>>34713570
I was waiting for some autists to blow the thread up with this maymay, but I honestly and unironically agree completely. Just something about it looks awesome.

>>34713580
Was unaware of that. Although I do now that AUG mags are amazing from hearing about it here.
>>
>>34713530
>>34713538

The thing has gotten pretty rave reviews and is arguably better than the Tavor, FS2000, or Aug and won't cost you 1600 dollars

Don't get me wrong, if you love those guns buy what you love, but if it's just "I want a bullpup 5.56" get an RDB
>>
You are debating between an in production and out of production option.....

Be smart
>>
>>34713555
>he reason I'm leaning towards the 2 in the OP is because they both use standard AR mags
you really expect them to work well with STANAGs?

STANAGs are already shit on ARs, which why people are using pmags and others, Let alone using them on different rifles.

expect feeding issues up the ass

tell you what, just get an AUG and two of those 40rd mags and you should be set, poorfag.

rdb is criminally underrated.

People tend to jump on keltec's past shortcomings in order to shit on this gun, when in reality they knocked it out of the park with this rifle.

>lightweight
>reliable
>fully ambi out of the box
>Very cool ejection method that is friendly to all shooters, and saves space.
>non-reciprocating folding charging handle
>takes standard AR mags
>toolless adjustable gas system lets you tune the rifle to your ammo and current conditions, or tame the gas with a suppressor.
>17" 1:7" barrel is ideal
>Price is $899 if you shop around

Honestly this gun is the titties and none of you would be complaining if you tried it. For the price it is amazing, and beats the tavor even when you don't consider that aspect. Also the survival variant looks neat, might pick it up later if I don't have any problems with this one.
>>
>>34713555
Yea, it does need the AUG waffle mags but they aren't too expensive. IMO, the Atrax is gonna be the best bullpup on the market when released.
>>
>>34713459
The tavor is garbage according to everybody except MAC (a confirmed shill)

Also consider the AUG or RDB.

Of those two, FS2000
But they're not being produced or imported as far as I know so they will be rare and demand a premium.
>>
>>34713682
>(a confirmed shill)
this is gonna be fun

how was MAC caught as a shill?
>>
>>34713555
Magpul is now producing waffle mags for the aug rifle family.
>>
>>34713698
Don't start.
>>
>>34713708
just wanting to know why and how, really.
>>
>>34713555
>not liking AUG magazines
AR magazines suck. You can find AUG magazines for not much more than Gen 3 PMAGs.
>>
>>34713614
Just watched a couple videos and that does look solid. I'm gonna be considering that as a potential now!

>>34713618
Which rifles are you talking about anon?
>>
>>34713713
>dedicates his channel to a single manufacturer for weeks
>visits their facility, never has anything negative to say
>>
Tavor or Aug. First, the FS2000 is out of production so there will be a spare parts issue eventually. Second, both have more military testing and service backing them
up. I have no experience with the Aug, but the Tavor is well balanced. The trigger is mushy but the balance and solid firing grip make up for it. Get something other than the M21 to put on it.
>>
>>34713728
The tavor is in production, the fs2000 is not
>>
>>34713699
Was not aware of that. I've been out of the loop since losing my job and just now paying off backed up bills

>>34713722
Never said anything about not liking them.

>>34713750
Valid point.
>>
>>34713740
Pointing out only the positives of several things allows you to make decisions based upon what is best. Pointing out only the negatives of several things corners you to make decisions based upon what is not the worst.
>>
>>34713775
Don't care. He is clearly being paid to advertise and is not disclosing it.
>>
>>34713667
Can you explain and go through likes and dislikes about it? I'm considering one now since it looks pretty solid.

It was only a matter of time before this happened. Do you /k/unts have experience with any of the rifles from this thread? If you do, please share. Otherwise please leave the shilling for another thread.
>>
Have shot tavor only. X95. Not as accurate as I would like at greater distances, but as a home defense rifle, it's unmatched. No problems opening doors, using lights, using phone, etc without ever lowering the weapon from my shoulder. If it's that sort of purchase, you won't regret it. Put a laser on it and you have the perfect neighborhood/home defense rifle.

Fs2000. Much more comfortable to shoot.
>>34713512
It's not as accurate in my experience, nor is it as robust. Plus the FS2000 has a simpler gas system and is easier to strip and clean.
>>
>>34713749
>First, the FS2000 is out of production so there will be a spare parts issue eventually
The F2000 is still in production. I would expect to be able to get parts for as long as it is.
>>
>>34713749
>>34713750
The FS2000 is still being produced. It's just not being imported into America anymore. Too much headache for too little money.

>>
>>34714005
Would have months ago. But shit keeps coming up. Replacing my furnace, new furniture for my basement, the IRS, vacation. Gonna get one this month or Next, depending on if the Vergueiro one of my dealers has is 8mm or not.
>>
>>34713683
This is why you should get an FS2000 before they become even more expensive. Production stopped in 2015
>>
>>34714056
Fair enough.
They're shipping A3 m1's with long rails, that'd be my recommendation. They're the same number if slots as what I have on mine but shifted rearwards so there's no overhang on the front. If the rails fit my reciever I'd get one.
>>
>>34714068
Er, importation ? Idk.
>>
>>34714076
Wife wants the A3 with the 3x scope and a 20in barrel. So that's what I'm getting. It's mostly going to be her gun anyways.

I've got 2 FS2000's and a Tavor
The FS2000 is much bulkier, but it's also lighter than the Tavor. FS2000 has an adjustable gas system, ejects out the front, is completely sealed from dirt and water, has a viewing door to check your chamber and clear jams, and is in general an excellent gun.
The weight balance between the two is completely different: while the Tavor balances directly in front of your shoulder, the FS2000 balances just in front of your shooting hand - the Tavor can get squirrely because of this.
In terms of disassembly, the FS2000 wins hands down - as opposed to having to reach for everything through the ass of the rifle like in the Tavor, the entire barrel assembly slides off the front, with the BCG following it, making it easy to clean your chamber, run a boresnake through it, and access the gas tube should you need to.
The only con the FS2000 has compared to the tavor is its inability to use PMAGS without removal of the magazine gaskets

Also, bear in mind there are two variants of the FS2000- the Tactical and the Standard (I have one of each). The Tactical has a full metal top-rail and iron sights, while the Standard has a polymer rail to which is affixed the iconic splinter cell sight. It's 1.5X and does the job very well but if you're looking to kill the Tavor, the Tactical is what you want.
