I bought one when I lived out there for very similar reasons. Haven't had a problem with it in the four years I've owned it. For what it's worth, I let a friend borrow mine at the range out there and he bought one the next week. On an unrelated note, I just sold the last two 10rnd mags for it on ebay at profit to a Cali resident.

Same situation you were in.

Bought it in 40sw, like it well enough but for some reason it fails to feed when I put a streamlight TLR-1 on it. Still don't know why, but as long as it's off it works perfectly.

I live in cali as well and just bought one a few weeks ago. Been to the range a few times now and its doin great, comes with 2 mags and a holster
