"You pay what you get for" is typically true in the firearms market. But what goods do you pay for that are really, really not worth the price? Easily blemishing finishes, underperforming rounds, fragile gear, anything that is not up to snuff in competition with other goods in its price point.

Puertorican prostitutes.

Basically any 1911 and most new CZs (considering turks can make them with NATO specs and comparable quality/reliability for almost half the price).
New Berettas (they haven't invested shit in R&D no reason to be so expensive).
Full price Glock (1 year warranty and plastic sights).
Most ARs over $1000, better off building the same gun with exactly what you want.
American made AKs. Lots of newer Remington stuff. I'm sure I'm missing a bunch, there's a lot...
Because gun stores always have to make a profit. They can't sell milsurp and people are too poor for FN and H&K.

>FN

Their pistols are meh for their price, and the company does not stand behind them. That being said, their rifles seem fine and their MGs are great.

The G36 is a POS that melts. The XM8 is a POS that melts. The MP5 is cool but objectively obsolete for duty use with the rise of compact ARs.
People jerk off the USP and Mark 23 primarily because of popular media. Neither pistol is a good value after you consider their higher MSRP, their $50 standard magazines, their dearth of aftermarket support, and their inability to cycle anything other than hot ammunition reliably.

Ya, but then you're buying from roaches.

Dude I shoot the cheapest remington or wwb .45acp through my usp and have not had any stoppages in close to two thousand rounds. I've also never heard of what you're saying before anywhere. You sound like you're totally making shit up, especially since the mark 23 was made to be suppressed right and that would mean subsonic ammo you stupid fuck.
>>34704910
Maybe you're the retard if you didn't know that all .45 acp ammo is subsonic.
>>34703636
>American made AKs.
So fucking true. They all have problems and are more expensive than good affordable ARs.

Have you tried running a new 9mm USP with standard pressure 115 grain ammunition? You will get malfunctions constantly.
>>34703636
>turks makes their clones to NATO spec
Whatever you need to tell yourself I guess
It'll be fun watching you smug idiots cry when your cheap turk pistols shit the bed
>>34703507
>But what goods do you pay for that are really, really not worth the price?
A Glock 17 gen 4 that costs more than $310.49 ;^)
>>34705154
Yeah, I have, and it's never had a stoppage.
The three guns that I have and agree are literally overpriced for like no reason:
>Tavor
>RFB
>Colt 1911
Neither of these guns of mine have any legitimate reason to cost any more than $800. They aren't made of gold, they don't use a weird unique proprietary cartridge or some crazy non-replicable system. They are really nice and fun guns, but they shouldn't cost $1K+ ever. That's just really shitty poverty control at that point.

But Turkish made weapons can pass like 80-85% of the torture tests you can throw at them. Also the MPT-76 is quite easily the most reliable NATO Service Rifle. Whatever floats your boat, though.

Literally came here for this, was not disappointed.
