Hello /k/, I have recently acquired a nice looking nugget practically for free. I don't really know much about it, do you think you could tell me anything about it from the serials? (armory, whether its rearsenaled) It's a hex receiver and I can provide as many pics as needed.

To be more specific, it's a M39 assembled by VKT in 1942. I say assembled and not made because the Finns never "made" any rifles. They built them all off existing Mosins. You'd have to check the tang to know exactly when/where your rifle was originally made. That D indicates the chamber is for the D-166 load, which was their heavy machine gun round if I'm not mistaken. Any 7.62x54r will work safely though.
