Yea for those prices you are really just paying for a lot of labor. You could make a whole suit of armor out of aluminum doing lost foam casting for about $100 and maybe 50 hours of your own time (assuming you know what you are doing)

Nah, on second thought, the gloves and helmet would be a pain to make myself. Also not too interested in investing the time right now.

I did however just make a sword hilt out of solid aluminum. I'm going to recast it though so i have no pics atm.

If you are doing lost foam casting it would be a pain in the ass. A lot of gluing pieces together and carving them down.

There's also a lot of replica armor on eBay but I don't know if you can trust them because all the sellers are from India for some reason.
