I'm going to watch that, pretty interesting so far.
But he's shooting a vepr, with iron sights, with cheap steel case ammo, using a cartridge that's probably not much good after 400 yards(at least that's as far as I really shoot it).
He may as well do what he wants, and test it out at the range if he really wants to see what happens with/without it.

It might shift your POI, but you wont notice any accuracy loss. Go watch a slo mo video of an AK firing, they aren't precision rifles.
