Also, I never saw the anything unusual about the round that caused the pop, no fireball. I kind of want it to be a ruger quality control problem so they will for sure get me a new one but I know the damage screams a round got stuck in the barrel.

Don't mess with the store, especially if they are charging you for repairs to a defective product.

You need to contact Ruger, generally their customer service is excellent.

Gander mountain is going out of business so no problem. The screw was free anf in fairness I didn't ask about the blade and spring since I lost them but I really should have. They don't have an excuse for being slow and forgetting my order though.

I know ruger doesn't have an official warranty but it sounds like they'll help for some things based on what I've read online. I guess I'll just have to give them a shot. It could have been the round shearing where some got stuck in the barrel, maybe not a squib so I might try to blame that. I realize anything mass produced is going to have a few lemons in the lot, I've heard great things about the gun, if they send me a new upper it might fix every problem I had

Called ruger, they were fantastic, really knowledgeable lady on the phone. Theyre replacing the barrel and giving the grip a trim. I didn't realize this but the play a magazine has is important to not shearing rounds, you want a little play. It must not only be ruger because my glock, m&p, and BHP all have it too.

Ruger 'sells' 2 different 22lr semi auto pistols. 3 if you count the 22/45 separate as the rest of the mk series. And you have 'heard' it's the worst they make.

The only two 22lr semi auto pistols Ruger currently produces is the mark iv series, and the sr22. OP's pic is a mark iii. I know this bc it is a stainless pencil barrel inside of a blue alloy receiver with unique cutouts. I'm not assuming it's a mark iii bc it's sparkly. The the 22/45 is a Ruger Mark pistol.

I will make this clear for you. My point is idgaf about what you heard is the worst 22 pistol Ruger sells. They currently only produce 2 lines in this class, and they are the best on the market.
