hi /k/

i want to join the military (there's nowhere else for me to go and i need to escape this town) and i'd be interested in a correspondence/journalism position. i know i can score high enough on the ASVAB to land a role like that, but i have one question: can i do correspondence for the marines without actually joining the marines? i can prep myself for Army basic fine but Marine training's some hardcore shit compared to that and i don't think i'm skilled or dedicated enough for it.

No. Why dont you try and join the marines anyways? They will train you mentally and physically to become a marine. That's why its called training. Although, with an attitude like that you won't make it. Pull your head from your ass, believe in yourself, start running and go talk to a recruiter if you really want to be a marine.
