so Ive been looking around for sights and I've been seeing a lot of ones like these but almost all of them are like 40 or 50 bucks. didnt really want to buy something thats gonna break the second time I used it. Found pick related and its 250 bucks, anyone have any experience with them? or am I just paying 250 dollars for a 50 dollar sight? I am newguns pls no be mean.
>>
I know a ton of guys in the USPSA/3-gun have used the C-more and it's one of the most used 'reflex' sights like that. Handgun recoil will be more intense than a rifle, so I'd imagine that that should stand up to it.

Never heard of the one you're showing though.
>>
>>34670896
You would need to buy a shroud for it, basically a hard cover so if you drop or knock your rifle you don't break the sight. At 250$ you could just get a sparc2 or vortex for like 180-200
>>
>>34670916
its for a A-R-1-5.
looked at C-More and they dont have any like this one and the website is old I dont like that
>>
>>34670921
no I dont want that
>>
>>34670929
they have pic rail compatible ones and there's interchangeable dot modules for 4,6,8 moa. up to you, I'm not trying to convince, just providing options.
>>
>>34670981
what's the difference in rails?
>>
>>34670948

you want the red dot sight that is in call of duty, right?

I still don't understand though
will it not work on my gun? am I getting scammed by paying 250 bucks? you are supposed to be gun experts
>>
>>34670896

i have pic related on my 22 handgun. it works really well. good fov, holds zero, adjustable brightness.

but i bought it a decade ago when the only other alternatives were c-more and doctor (before the fastfire, aimpoint micros, rmr, etc). i'd probably go with a more modern option now.
>>
>>34671126
nobody has heard of this sight
in all likelihood yes you are being scammed
if you want something quality like that get a Trijicon RMR at cabelas

Its the same sight made in the same couple of factories that buyers can get engraved with their company logo.

This type of sight is notoriously fragile to being dropped or knocked, is scratched easily and changing reticles with the horizontal dial will often shift the zero, as the reticles are not all aligned.

Ive bought these and the Eotech knock-offs just to try them and all they're fit for is airsoft or an air rifle at best.
>>
>>34670896
>$250
nigga for that money get a fcuking PA/Vortex/Holosun that you know will actually function.

Call of Duty usually models all their sights off of airshit optics (aside from the EOtech and ACOG).
just buy a PA or Holosun like every other poorfag

you just want it because it was in Call of Duty
they're shit IRL
Some decent starter options are the Vortex SPARC 2, Holosun/Primary Arms Advanced Micro Dot, Sig Romeo 4, and DI Optics RV1/2
>>
This red dot worth a shit?

https://www.amazon.com/Bushnell-Trophy-TRS-25-Sight-Riflescope/dp/B00200E0HM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1501142549&sr=8-1&keywords=bushnell+red+dot

Christ, other than this optics seem so goddamn expensive, but I hate standard AR sights. I should've stuck with AKs.
>>
>>34671985
they're okay, but you should save up a bit more to get something better like the ones listed here >>34671981

buy once cry once
>>
>>34671985
Its ok, but I'd rather have holosun.
>>
>>34671981

>>
>>34672028
>>34672032
Yeah, I started looking at those after I made my post. I'll probably pick up the Holosun HS403A after I do some more research, since it seems like a good price and the reviews are positive. Thanks guys.
>>
Oh man we're popping a cherry. It's nice to see freshmen here.
OP, they're made for airsoft, they are way too fragile to handle being dropped, or the vibrations of your weapon.
Get what >>34671981 told you to get.
>>
>>34672068
I stuck a cheapshit Airsoft red dot on my ruger mk 3 to see what it can stand up to.

why would cod put it in the game if it wasn't a good sight? huh??

>>34675225

Last year BF one. 10 PMAG, an Aimpoint, and Magpul BUIS set for $399 IIRC. Whatever it was, it was the price of the aimpoint and everything else for free.

Every optic that is based in that design is fucking garbage made to cash in on ignorant call of duty players.

Am I the only person that bought a Trijicon RX34? Seriously, this red dot fucking works, and doesn't even need batteries. Oh what's that, you say that a solar-powered red dot won't work at night? This shit's got fucking tritium in it, and is night-vision compatible. Uses the same mount as an ACOG too, and the fucker is waterproof, mudproof, shockproof, semenproof, fucking everything short of a sledgehammer can't hurt this shit
>>
>>34675811
It's a good optic, just outdated.
>>
>>34675675
okay so what's a good one like that
>>
>>34670896
You can buy this sight for $20 and it's the same factory making them...
>>
>wants the sight from cowadoody
>doesn't want to buy c-more because their "website is old"
>thinks the $250 one is a better deal because the $50 ones must break immediately
definitely bait

Charge your phone
>>
>>34670896

That is unquestionably one of the worst red dot sights you could possibly buy.

Anything that even looks like that is generally going to be cheap Chinese garbage, only for use on pellet guns.

You can get a Vortex red dot for far cheaper than this - $180 with 10 pmags:

http://palmettostatearmory.com/vortex-strikefire-ii-red-dot-optic-ten-magpul-pmag-5-56-30rd-magazines.html

This sight, right here? Literally the best deal you will find. That's a $180 red dot, with $100 worth of magazines.
>>
>>34675811

It's also $600.

It's also fuckhueg, reducing peripheral vision.

Ever looked into the SeeAll Open Sight? $100, marginally more breakable, still no batteries needed, waaaay smaller.
>>
>>34675991
For budget optics (under 300)
Holosun h510c
Primary arms prism scopes
Vortex prism scopes
Burris prism scooes
Burris fastfire 3
Vortex venom (the rds not the scope)
>>
Get a FAKOG if you want something from COD that doesn't cost a premium. They're like $60 on Ebay. Trijicon threatened to sue NcStar when the fakes first popped up in 2005, but other no name Chinese companies took up the mantle and continue to make the fakes today. You don't get tritium and I have no idea if the BDC works or not, but they're fine for plinking and LARPing.
>>
>>34676117
>SeeAll Open Sight
That is an interesting concept. I might put one on my shotgun to replace the RMR.
>>
>>34676117
I just checked the prices, I didn't realize it was that bad

I got it with a AR pistol on armlist for 650 bucks, ended up selling the pistol but keeping the red dot because it was just so handy. I've never tried a SeeAll sight, might test it out sometime. Thanks for the heads up!

I love CoD4, but I will never not be bitter towards it for making those awful chinkshit C-more clones the quintessential red dot in the eyes of normies. What was so fucking hard about a microdot, IW?

>>34675811
I got one for my 300 blackout at gouger mountain for $10 less than lensandlasers had them for after tax and all. The 42mm one with the dot reticle.

STOP REPLYING FAGGOTS

this cowaduty fag probably doesn't even own a gun.

shit thread is shit, I hate myself for trying to find a decent discussion in this thread.
>>
>>34670896

These are shit Chinese sights. Have you seem ones that look like this one for 50? That's because it's a 50 dollar sight. There is just one factory pumping these out and people resell them for whatever. They are shit. They don't hold zero and they break.

Get a Vortex or Holosun for the price point. Those are vastly better sights.

>>34680291
Vortex red dots are also made in China. I could care less though because the QC is there. Most lenses for scopes are made in China anyway, save for the gucci scopes that get them from Japan, Austria or Germany.
>>
>save for the good scopes that get them from Japan, Austria or Germany.
