SWFA fixxed 10 or 12 power in turrets of your choice.
Primary arms makes a decent scope as well.
I'm not a fan of the Leopold AR series, but it might be worth looking into.
Check Ebay for some vintage optics, you can find Bausch and Lomb rifle scopes every now and again, or other older optics that are nice.
Enjoy shooting anon.

Too broad a question. Fixed or variable? If variable, first or second focal plane? Desired magnification range.
Step it up son.
If you're too dumb or lazy to figure that all out then just get a SWFA fixed 10x for like 300$

Where and what are you shooting?

I was memeing you mong
I have one of these on my AR 10 pretty solid. And you would have enough for a great set of rings or a mount.

At a budget of only 500 I'd say get a fixed power from swfa in either a 10/12x variety and those go for only 300$. Or look at the fixed 10 power from bushnell those run like 225-275$.
Once your budget jumps up to $700-1000 I'd say look at either the swfa 3-15 mil-quad/ bushnell elite tactical 6-24 with g2 reticle non-illuminated (you'd have to wait for a sale code to get these at 900 but they can be had at that price)/ bushnell elite tactical with g2 reticle/ vortex viper pst 2 5-25 but like the bushnell 6-24 you'd have to wait for a sale to find it at 1000.
Those fixed 10/12 power scopes can really hold you for a few years while you get the hang of shooting precision bolt guns and by the time you've gotten used to shooting and figured things out a bit more you can either buy those options or see what new stuff has come to market and then you can put that fixed 10 power on another rifle like a 22 trainer or something.
Only reason why I suggest swfa over the bushnell is they have crazy amounts of adjustment so if you end up putting it on a 22lr trainer you can still take that 22 out to range like 400yds and have enough internal elevation to make hits on target without needing to use reticle holds or kentucky windage. I wanna say the 12x from swfa has like 32+ mils of total adj.

the second bushnell I was mentioning was their 3-12x44 model with g2 ret which can be had for 795

Save another $200 anon and get a Vortex Viper PST 4-16x. You won't regret it, and it's infinitely better than any of the crap you'll be buying at $500.

>Vortex Viper PST 4-16x
the old pst line is discontinued so youd have to go hunting to find one and unless youre picking it up off ebay I havent found any normal optic dealers that have em in stock
>>34668729
you went for a heavy for an extra $500 over the semi heavy?
First mistake. Glass should cost more than the rifle. For a budget scope, Nikon is hard to beat. My Prostaff with BDC is pretty comparable to a Leupold. Good luck with whatever you pick

It's semi heavy
