Canadafag here. Reckon it's time I get myself a firearm. My problem is I have no idea where to start. I'm looking for a reliable shotgun that I can use for predator defense in the bush. It neers to be able to do hard damage to a bear within 10 yards

I need advice, I have no experience with weapons.

I read that the Remmington 870 12 gauge might be appropriate.

Professional opinions?
