Asking again from last thread

I've got a ban era rifle with a screw instead of a takedown pin. The rifle is 20 years old and the screw is pretty stripped due to years of use. Does anyone know if I can replace it with a proper push pin or if there's any aftermarket push pins I could pick up? Needing to unscrew it to separate the upper and lower is annoying and I'd rather just be able to pop a pin

You'll also need a detent and spring for it. Your receiver could very well be strippped out from the screw though. Meaning no takedown pin will fit and you'll ultimately need to replace the receiver. Who ever did that, especially if the screw is sized so it has to thread in the hole, is a fucking idiot.

Ok so I'm from commieneticut and active duty mil. I bought a pre ban Colt Sporter before joining and want to get a new upper receiver. Anyone have good shops/brands to look into? I know Delta Arsenal is decent, and Hoffman's is a little over priced imo.
Also I would like a stripped upper, because the barrel and everything on the Sporter is pretty much new.
