I like the m9a2 much better. It's accurate. The open slide makes it able to fire alot of rounds consecutively without ever melting the barrel. Good for civilian use. However should not be a service pistol. In Afghanistan the dust was so bad that I'd have to clean it daily or it would jam due to the open slide. I hate that the safety decocks it so I can't carry locked and cocked. Other than that it's ok.

>>
>>34639225

That may be true, but it's a combat handgun. It's not for concealing or carrying with you to pick up groceries. For whatever reason that I can't explain, when I point and shoot I hit what I want to hit. I am so fast and accurate with my M9 that I don't even consider grabbing my G19, one of my 1911s, the Hi Power, one of the M&Ps, my S&W 1006, any revolver, my SP-01, ect.

I almost always grab my M9 because I am confident that it will do what I need it to do. It just jams with me, and that's enough to overcome whatever size or weight downfalls it may have to some.

6'1 masterrace here

Its a fucking joy to shoot the Beretta.

Unfortunately the slide-mounted decocker is pants on head retarded.
>>
Weight is not a specific argument against the Beretta. Other full-sized metal framed guns like the P226, CZ75, 1911, etc weigh as much as or more than the 92. Weight is more of argument for metal vs polymer than it is for 92.

Also, I don't understand what the issue with the safety is. It's in reach of your thumb where you can flick it on and off and tripping the safety lever is only an issue for hamplanets with sausage fingers trying to power stroke the slide when the manual specifically says not to but they're too lazy/dumb to train properly. Or maybe they're just completely lacking thumbs, I don't know. At the end of the day, it works.

I own and carry one.

I haven't found any real design issues due to the scale-down, and I've owned 2 full sized 92s. The mags come with a small pinky extension, so you can get your full hand on it. It can be a little tricky to conceal depending on what clothes you like to wear. I've had it now for 3 years and I've never had any malfunction of any sort with any ammo.

10/10 would trust life with.
