For carry or fun?

The 1911-380 is one of the most fun pistol's I've used. Love it. However it's much larger than the 938 and the 938 has more potential energy for defense.

The 1911 is a really comfy gun to shoot and 9mm and .38 Super variants are great. I'd stay away from the .380

Oh idk, maybe because the 1911 is made in about 20 different cartridges that people like while also enjoy the characteristics of the gun itself without being limited to .45acp. .38 super has been around since '29 and was designed for the 1911, the 9mm popped up in the 50s, .38spl somewhere in between and every other caliber that could be shoehorned in since

The 1911-380 is markedly smaller which is probably why he likes it. The Baby rock is about the same size but still .380 and the Springfield EMP is as small as it gets but is $1400. Any other commander, CCO, or officers model is going to be bigger
