Hey /k/ what are your local police department standard issue firearms?

>Columbus, Oh
S&W M&P40 since 2007
Remington 870 since forever ago
S&W M&P Sport (5.56) since mid 2000s.

Also found that they used S&W 4906 in .45ACP until 2007.
>>
S&W M&P40s for local PD, county agencies as desired per criteria. State carry P226s in .357 Sig
>>
>>34620094
> being this autistic
>>
>>34620094
Whats up fellow Ohio bro
>Dublin, Oh
Sig P226
S&W M&P AR with carry handle, 2 mags in every cruiser
Orange stock LESS LETHAL 870 in every cruiser
Even though they have the M&Ps in the cruisers the officers are allowed and encouraged to bring their own rifles too just in case
>>
>>34620094
No idea. Don't even know how to find out.
>>
>>34620192
This

and especially this

>>34620129
>>
>>34620094
>NSW Police
Glock 22s, they also get tasers, OC and batons. In Sydney there are also some cops with M4s.
>>
>>34620129
>>34620217
How is that autistic?
>>34620192
Some even list it on their website.
>>
My PD is carrying Glock 23's right now and at one point had USPc's. The state troopers have P226's in 357Sig after their M&P's all had frame failures.
>>
>Miami, FL
>Miami Dade PD

iirc, Glock 22's or 23's. I've shot with some local cops from FIU, City of Miami and Broward.

>City of Miami
>Gen 3 Glock 22's, nothing else

>FIU
>guy was using a Gen 3 Glock 17 but apparently they let you use anything reputable in either 9/40/.45

Pretty interesting that I always meet cops at the range I go to so I can always ask these kind of questions without any eyebrows being raised.
>>
Dunlap IA

A shotgun
>>
Georgia.

Most use Glocks of some type. Some are using S&W M&P's. I know a real rural backwoods PD that's still using the older S&W autos from the 80's because it's a 4-5 man staff and there's just no money in the budget for new shit. Plus nobody has had to use a gun in that town in 40+ years IIRC.

I think my local are using G22's.
>>
Lee enfield, sterling, 5.56mm automatic assault rifle, usually just a bamboo stick

Only officers get a pistol. Usually a revolver or a copy of hi power
>>
Am I the only one that stares at cops guns to see what they're carrying?

>they mostly just carry variations of glocks :(
>>
>>34620094
>Edmonton Alberta (Canada)
Glock 17 chambered for .40 s&w
C8 carbine in certain squad cars (officer/s have to be qualified on the carbine before they can carry one)
>>
Lets see,
My D.A.R.E officer
had a
AR 15 of some kind can't remember
and a p226
i'm pretty sure he also had a glock of some kind but that was a long time ago...
>>
Calgary.
Glock 22 Gen 3. Absolute plebs. Their new Colt Canada rifles are nice though.
>>
>>34620094
Queensland Police Service, Australia

Glock 22, Taser, OC spray, Baton, LBV

Cops in remote or even rural areas like to keep Remington AR15s in the back of their patrol cars because tactical response could take hours or even days to reach them.
>>
>>34620094
Every cop in my area fell for the .40 cal meme and uses a glock 22.
>>
>>34621924
>tactical response could take hours or even days to reach them.
Fucking hell. Reminds me of this Australian movie I saw recently where this Abbo and white cop where out in bumfuck and got into some shit. Could see how it would take long like that but goddam. Guess shits not as violent there though so might not be such a worry.
>>
>>34620094
I live in a pretty small town so it seems The pd is a little less strict about what they carry, but I see a mix of full sized .40s&w glocks, m&p's and a few 1911's on the city cops. Most cruisers have an 870 or 590 in the trunk, but almost all the cruisers have an m&p AR in the cabin, my town adopted them pretty early in the naughties. The swat team, which is only a handful of normal cops who train a bit more for high risk warrant stuff bought about 7 SCARs a few years ago, which actually made it into the newspaper because of how little goes on here. And the town comstable carries a nickel plated, ivory handled ruger vaquero in a leather single loop rig and the sheriff has a similar rig for his nickel 1911.
>>
>>34621952
It's not a huge risk but it's definitely still a concern

last month a cop was killed about an hour from my place by some methhead with a full-auto SKS

You a NYCfag? I used to live in the city and iirc NYPD issue 12lb triggers.
>>
>>34622190
Yup, literally no other place makes it mandatory to have a license for citizens to own rifles/shotguns
Impose magazine restrictions for their own police officers
And require dumb 12lb trigger pulls for handguns

General duty RCMP in British Columbia are issued 9mm S&W 5946's.
>>
Beretta M92FS in 9mm Luger (civilians can't have that caliber for handguns because reasons)
depending on the branch they may have either MP5s, UMP-9s, or Beretta M12s
no idea about shotguns but in most places of interest there are at least 2 soldiers with either AR-70s or ARX-160s, it's been like this for a few years
>>
>>34620094
P320
Gen 4 17 19 and 21
M&P

P226 and 227
Berretta 92

Backup has to be the same as the primary hammer or striker.

P320 Subcompact
Glock 43
Shield

J Frame 5-shot revolvers
Colt D Frame 6-shot revolvers
Ruger 5 shot revolvers

If you don't want to use the department 870 you can either buy a Colt M4 carbine marked AR-15 or an M&P15x you can have pretty much whatever you want for accessories.

The only rules are that you can't modify the trigger, no visible lasers, it has to be black, magazines are loaded with 18 rounds if you use a 20 rounder and 28 if you use a 30. And the Rangemaster has to approve it (he approves basically everything that isn't utg.)

9mm .45 or. 38 .357 and 5.56

They give you a list of approved ammo and you purchase all of this out of your stipend.

The police in my town carry Glock 22s, but interestingly, I learned from one of them that they all have AR-18s in their cruisers because the town bought them long ago and still hasn't forked over the money for an upgrade. Not that the cops here ever fire their guns, we have had four cops as long as I can remember and they just hired a 5th to replace Jim, who is retiring this year.
