Any recent Class 3 Tax Stamps arrivals for any of you guys?
What was your wait time?

Yep, trend right now is about a year or slightly more.
Keep in mind though, they're in the middle-end of the big glut of submissions before the 41F rules went into effect. Once through those the wait might come back down a bit...maybe...

Sucks. I'm about to go through the process for the first time. I'm already frustrated. I can imagine how pissed I'll be about it a year from now when I'm still waiting.

If it's not your first time to apply for a stamp, you'd think they'd have some expedited process for repeat applicants.

The actual time to go through the whole process of checking the forms is actually quite quick, an hour or two at worst. The wait is so long because the whole thing is handled via paper forms by about 18 or so people for the whole country, 99% of the wait time your form sits in a big stack of forms waiting to be looked at. There has been very little automation or streamlining because the NFA branch has a shit budget and no motivation from on high to improve the process.
I got my check cashed on 06/28/2016 and got mine back about 12 months later.

I wonder if this is cause for hope:

I'd be curious to know what percentage of applications are suppressors vs SBS/SBR...
Anyone have any idea?
As in if the Hearing Protection Act passes, would 90% of the applications disappear? Or is it closer to 50/50?
Literally took a year.
