I've never had a Pmag fail.

I have had GI mags fail. The feed lips are only good for about 300 load/unload cycles.

USGI and PMags are fine - get whatever is the better deal. Get USGIs exclusively if you plan on getting other 5.56 rifles though, as PMags don't always fit.
