I'd suggest buying a new filter if it's past expiration date. If it's the creation date it should be just fine. Any 40mm canister will work.

Think an expired filter will still work for tear gas but thats about it. or atleast thats what im banking on if i ever needed it.,

Finn masks and US M9s (what Finn masks are based on) take 60mm filters. 40s won't work without an adapter.
