Oh and OP is also a faggot, as every (Fenno-)Scandinavian country has even plain clothes cops armed on duty. They also have the right to carry a firearm off duty, but it is very rare as it is usually frowned upon by their peers.

Note that police officers can only arm themselves if its happening so fast that they cannot radio the command center for allowance.
