Mediocre Ammunition Edition
>Thread #355
Old thread here: >>34552007
>>34561329
This OP brought to you by SGAmmo.com, the only place you'll get Golden tiger and other meme brands because we've convinced you that one type of cheap Russian or Ukie shit steel case is different than the other.
>>34561329
I always thought sealed Wolf was a meme since I bought some MC that wasn't sealed, but was advertised as so. Is this shit any good?
>>34561358
I bought a bunch of it in 5.45 and it's alright. Wish I had spent the money on GT 5.45 though.
Ok so I asked about an extractor claw for my Saiga 7.62 in the last thread, now I'm thinking that since ive already got $850+ wrapped up in this rifle if I should just cut my losses sell it and get an arsenal. Unless it would be better to bite the turd and track one down and probably end up going well over $900 wrapped up in it. Thoughts? I don't want to fall into a money trap with this, its used and I thought there wouldnt be anything wrong with it when I got it, so there may be some more shit that I'm yet to find.
>>34561358
the lacquer jams up my vepr
>>34561360
>GT
That's what my current stock is, but I'm willing to buy a few boxes of sealed Wolf to test, and see how it stacks up.
>>34561365
Yeah, people have reported similar stuff. Your VEPR has a spring loading firing pin, right? When I had my Maadi inspected I casually brought up spring loaded firing pins on the VEPR's and Bugly SLR-107fr's explaining that the lacquered ammo causes issues and he just looked at me like I was retarded.
>>34561363
What's wrong with it? What are you trying to get out of your rifle?
>$90 for a Bulgarian bakelite bayo
>http://www.k-var.com/shop/AK-128BU.html
What the fuck?
>>34561365
Wolf has been using a polymer coating for about five years now. How old is your ammo?
>>34561343
>Ukranian ammo
Ukrop ammo hasn't been imported for like 8+ months.
but yep, its all the same shit minus casing coating.
>>34561383
Look at the OP picture you fucking underage nogunz faggot. SGAmmo specially imports/orders Wolf ammo with the lacquer case coating and the colored lacquer primer and case head seals
>>34561386
Yup yup
>>34561329
>Just reposting a question from the end of last thread.
Do any of you accidentally bump fire a second round every once in a while or is it just me?
I have maybe one out of every 250 rounds. I know I need to work on my trigger discipline, but I'm just curious how common it is for others.
>>34561419
I've done that before when shooting from a bench/rest if I don't have the rifle shouldered properly, it's more of an issue of that rather than trigger control
What are med-high level options for 0-300yard optics for 7.62x39?
Honestly I can't decide between red dot and magnified, but I'm leaning to simple red dot.
>>34561376
I took it to the range for the first time yesterday and the ejection pattern was random as fuck, it had a failure to eject at least once per mag, sometimes two or three, I used 3 different ammo brands and 4 different mags.
I bought it used but the piston was mirror clean so I doubt it was used much if at all. Got it for $680, plus another $150 in converting the rear end and I'm sitting at just over $800, which a set of surplus wood for it put me at ~850. I dont dislike my rifle, its just that right now I have a bad feeling about where this might go and I'm having a smidge of buyers remorse. And if I swap it for one of the new 107s I can get the front end that I want along with a warranty.
>>34561531
Failure to eject or extract? Failures to eject usually have something to do with the extractor or how gassed the rifle is, not the extractor.
>>34561539
I dont know, but the recoil was fairly stout, more so than my fathers mak90 with the same furniture. I figured it was because stamped vs milled and his is heavier, but what do you think?
>>34561462
I'll keep that in mind.
Thanks.
>>34561543
Post pics of the ejector, extractor, bolt head, etc
>>34561566
I dont think the rear trunnion was like that before.
>>34561588
>>34561588
That's not the ejector, extractor, bolt head, etc. Also a picture that's just washed out flash doesn't help
>>34561596
Looks fine to me
>>34561600
Ill take some more pictures without flash but does that trunnion look normal? I dont think it looked like that before but I dont know, it stuck out to me as soon as I took it apart.
>>34561419
>>34561269
I do with the ALG AKT. That trigger is ridiculously light.
>>34561329
Thanks OP.
I've been slacking on starting new threads lately.
Normie life has been getting in the way, but I appreciate you holding up the fort.
>>34561600
>>34561624
What's up with that selector?
>>34561611
The asymmetry of the wear is a bit weird but it's hard to tell what's going on in the pic
>>34561588
>>34561596
Do you only have swimming pool lighting?
>Why so blue?
>>34561625
Post ejector.
>>34561600
I cant really see shit without flash on but maybe you'll have better luck.
>>34561641
>>34561625
These are far clearer than
>>34561596
>>34561588
>>34561628
It's an experimental selector, to keep debris out.
>>34561639
>>34561647
Kinda figured that part, I was wondering about some details/maker/name/etc
>>34561659
That one's not that great. Wait until some dayli
>>34561662
>>34561666
Take a pair of calipers and measure the distance from the receiver tail to the ejector/bottom rail all along the length of it and see if there's a different, also post pics so we can see if theres any warping/twisting.
>>34561669
146mm. I suck at pictures. It does look slightly bent, ill get another angle.
>>34561697
You misunderstood what I said my dude
>>34561704
What do I need to do?
>>34561704
>>34561697
I meant rail btw
>>34561705
Take a few measurements along these areas
>>34561712
Thank you man, sorry about the flash in these but its too dark to see right now without it
>>34561712
>>34561723
That's not quite what I meant either, I'm talking about multiple vertical measurements my dude
>>34561712
So what could cause overgassing here? I thought that happened with adjustable switches like on FALs
>>34561729
Time to kms myself
>>34561758
Close enough. Try to get measurement on the other end by the same manner and see if there's a difference
>>34561761
>>34561768
You don't have to post all the pics dude, just tell us the numbers/figure it out yourself
>>34561661
I actually have no idea.
Perhaps someone else might know the specifics.
>If you want that info in order to try and find one, good luck.
>>34561776
It's 9 all down the rail.
>>34561781
Welp, is bottom rail square to the receiver?
>>34561785
Yes, so what could the issue be?
>>34561531
>>34561799
Ok, 3rd party here.
Is this your first AK?
Just curious.
>>34561818
Yes it is.
>>34561820
Ok, cool.
What state are you in?
>It's hard as shit to diagnose issues over the internet.
That guy was/is doing his damnest though.
I'm going to go on a different tangent.
Was the bullet guide installed by you?
Or was it installed when you got it?
You are having issues with extraction, correct?
What mags are you using?
>>34561840
Florida, and the ramp was installed by me. I was using surplus Romanian steel mags.
>>34561847
Strictly Romy mags?
How many different mags?
2? 3?
And if you just rack it without firing, is there any issue with extraction?
>As in, rock in a loaded mag and just rack it repeatedly.
Will it empty a loaded mag (without firing, just cycling it)?
>>34561865
Just 4 romanian mags. Yes it can empty a mag, the rounds feed fine when just racking it, or I haven't had an issue yet and judging on the fact that I had one every 20 rounds or so when shooting I would think there would have been something by now.
>>34561876
Well shit.
What ammos?
You said 3 or 4 different ammos were tried.
Were they tried in the same session?
Do you have access to other mags?
Don't give up on it just yet, because once you figure out what the problem is (and it's likely something seemingly insignificant too), it'll make that rifle that much more "yours"
>>34561936
One range trip and I used wolf polyformance 124g, brown bear 125g, and silver bear 125g. At least 120 rounds of each, I went through each mag 4 times and the failures happened at different round counts. I just got a bakelite today so I'll try that today and come back with the results.
>>34561957
In theory, the mag shouldn't matter, nor the ammo.
So I get the frustration.
And without observing it in person, I honestly couldn't attempt to diagnose your problem.
But I would be hesitant to think it's a gas issue.
Where in Florida are you?
Perhaps you can meet up with the one of the multiple anons in your state.
>not that they might be able to help, but it's not impossible.
>>34561999
I live in Lakeland. I haven't shot it before, or the mags, so I was hoping that it's the mags but honestly I don't know anymore. The failures were all spent casings getting stuck half way out or the bolt not closing all the way (racking it didn't pull the round out of the chamber, and it would close after I let it go)
>>34562165
>>34562173
That's somewhat tragic, but how else are they gonna learn?
>or will they ever?
>>34562165
>>34562173
What?
>>34562189
>>34562187
It was in a thread about buying trinkets for the sake of having something coming in the mail because it gives you something to anticipate, something that's been discussed here a lot. Found an AK guy in the comments
>>34561514
Bump, was thinking of going with the aimpoint pro.
>>34562212
Would pet!
I want to buy an Arsenal (preferably SLR-107CR or another of the krink types for later SBRing), but it looks like finding any kind of Arsenal anywhere is almost impossible.
What's going on? How come they're so scarce?
>>34562247
How new are you?
>>34562250
Bretty new anon.
>>34562212
>buying trinkets for the sake of having something coming in the mail because it gives you something to anticipate, something that's been discussed here a lot.
That has?
Really?
I've bought multitudes of items and had several hundred dollars floating around ($300 with you, alone ;^)
but I've never just bought things just to have something "incoming".
>I do understand it though.
>>34562247
104UR's are the only thing available.
>>34562040
Damn you are way too far

>Mediocre Ammunition Edition
I'll nominate silverbear as mediocre ammo that's good for nothing past mud busting, stuff was atrocious on paper for me. Just accurate enough to hit paper somewhere @100 if I aimed at the center through the scope.
>>34562396
SB looks like the M67
>>34562396
Silver Bear 5.45 has treated me well. I have no trouble hitting steel at 200y repeatedly. Never shot the 7.62, I only shoot GT
>>34562482
But I doubt it performs like it in gel. Although I should look it up for the hell of it.
>>34562490
>Silver Bear 5.45 has treated me well
Same here, but doesn't change the fact that their 762 is hot garbage in my eyes.
>>34561329
8M3 checking in
So what is the deal with wolf 9x39? Allegedly it is going into a future Wolf AR upper, but what is a slavshit lover going to do?
M67 is the dankest.
>>34562929
its slightly improved ball ammo, 8M3 is the most devastating round you can get in any caliber for the AK
>>34562256
For sure. I fall victim to it myself. Online shopping is an addiction for a lot of people. It gives you the same buzz that gamblers get. It's the anticipation leading up to the reward.
Did you know that when you pay for something in cash, your brain lights up the same was as if it were in pain? Not so with plastic. Which makes online shopping an even easier trap to fall into. It's also why you'll put money on a card at casinos to gamble with. So you're not constantly feeding bills into the machine and reminding yourself of how much money you're spending. Or so the stack of chips just looks like some colorful plastic and not an entire day's worth of work.
Social media is the same way. Posting something and then waiting in anticipation for how many likes/comments/(You)s you get.
>>34553117
He has that classic American salesman type cadence to how he talks about guns, I feel catered to when he goes on about a model I'm interested in
>>34562929
If by dank you mean a pain in the ass for no good reason, being corrosive and all.
If you want good terminal ballistics, golden tiger will do you even better since it's a fast yawing bullet with an even larger cross section.
>>34563445
Well m67 does not have a bimetal jacket, and is also brass. Corrosive is not hard to clean.
>>34563494
>Well m67 does not have a bimetal jacket
I suppose that's a plus for certain people at oppressive ranges, I couldn't care less myself.
>Corrosive is not hard to clean.
While I'll agree with you there, I do it in less than 10 mins in my aks... I'm not paying the same or more per round to make 100% unnecessary extra work for myself and have any nagging worry in the back of my head should I not be able to touch a gun for a few months.

Hopefully I can make it out to range to shoot it soon.

Hopefully it has a proper barrel
I just got a pretty VZ, can I shitpost here? My rifle is at least a little closer to an AK than the SKS
Also I promise Im not a leaf
>>34564027
What model vz?
>2008s are not welcome.
>>34563925
what kind of fal?
>>34563997
Its in the right sn set, but im having my buddy check it out tomorrow.
So I have a 7.62 Saiga, and I'm looking to sell it. I bought it wanting to make an AK 103 clone, but decided I didn't want to dump a ton of money into it. What's a reasonable price to sell it for? It's had maybe 400 rounds put through it and I've kept it clean, but the finish is worn a little around the magwell. Any ideas?
>>34564175
Has it been converted or is it still in sporter configuration?
>>34562165
I know that feeling, I've spent $2.5k this year on guns just to make the tedium of my daily life more bearable.

I just don't want to ship, I hate shipping rifles. This guy is saying next weekend, if he bails then too then it's going on both Files
>>34561768
AK building faggot here.
1. It looks really dirty. Try cleaning the bolt and trunnion, especially the parts where they touch right inside the grooves where the bolt engages the trunnion.
2. It almost looks like the lower rail doesn't match up with the groove in your trunnion. If that surface doesn't run completely flat, the bolt can get stuck right there or need unnecessary extra force to open and close.
Based on the fact that these failures happen sporadically, I really think it just needs a nice detail clean and lube.
If it persists, ride the bolt back and forth slowly or quickly and see if it hangs up anywhere along the path. If it hangs up on the hammer, this isn't really a problem, but if it hangs up somewhere else, then you should look into why.
>>34564049
Are 58 pistols welcome?
Its definitely a pistol ATF plz go

Not going to worry about a bipod for now, espically since I'm taking it to MSW. I may somewhere down the road but just don't care enough at the moment.
Hello fellow AK enthusiasts! Good to see people that appreciate a good weapons system platform, not like those fucking plebs that worship they're $3000 jam-o-matics. Pic related is the rifle I carried in Iraq after I threw away my POS M4

Need to find a good rifle range in DFW and I'd go constantly. Most of them are either full of morons, have stupid rules (like only allowing HP ammo, brass case, or no irons on 100m range...) or are clubs that have $8000 dues.
Bah.

Hey anons, can any of you give me advice on what ak to buy. I already have a Mossin so I want something less cumbersome and more mobile.
>>34565522
WASR10. Cheapest decent AK available and best bang for the buck. Do not buy US made.
If wasrs had dimpled mag wells they would be in the same tier as arsenals.

AKs are so hard to change.

You should be able to pull out everything but the trunnion and barrel
>>34568020
There's also the added issue of getting the FSB off.
I've got a ban-era AK74 with no muzzle threads and no bayonet lug that I've got no clue how to fix because it all requires tools and machinery.
I can break an M4 down to nothing in under three minutes.
>>34568069

>>34568007
>>34568150
Ay, there's the type of pic I wanted
>>34568094
Not him but yea, you use a 12 ton press and simply press it off while the receiver is barreled. If your press doesn't have clearance you can always stack it on cinder blocks
>>34568168
What do I do about a rifle with no muzzle threads?
I've heard pin-on AK74 muzzle brakes fly off.
>>34568218
If you want to use a surplus 74 compensator you'll have to press your cucked fsb off and put the correct fsb on that accepts 24mm threads. Bulgarian is your best/cheapest option for both the fsb and compensator. If you don't have an accessory lug you can press the gas block off while your doing all this and replace it with one that has it
>>34568218
>I've heard pin-on AK74 muzzle brakes fly off.

>>34568218
Get it threaded or install a 74 FSB.

It's perfectly okay to use warm water to get cosmoline and metal shavings out of the receiver\magwell if I'm careful right?

BakeRus, a tripfag here, has rusted ones that need a once-over with steel wool for like $5.
>>34562345
Can't go wrong with a Aimpoint Pro, though I personally think I'd prefer a 3x or 4x optic. Though I have no idea what to recommend because I'm just getting into the optics game myself. I have heard good reviews about the primary arms ACSS optics.
>>34569424
I just got a brand new PRO if you wanna buy it
>>34569448
How much?
>>34563855
Buy it nao! Then post pics later.
>>34569460
$350 shipped for u, it'll come in the box and shit > >>34567268

Look at squared away custom holsters. Their Five-0 holster is light compatible, and has a loop and thumb retainment system similar to the Safariland ALS. Can be made for several different guns. Can be made for some not listed on their site, just use the IM they have to talk to a rep and double check
I'm thinking of giving my girlfriend of two years an AK as a gift, as I've got three of them.
Pros/Cons?
She's an alright shot with it and doesn't own any guns herself, though she's mentioned wanting a handgun in the past.
>>34569511
Fuck.
Fucked up the picture.
>>34569511
Then get her a hand gun
>>34569511
Don't get her a gift that's actually just something you want. If she wanted an AK she'd already be looking into getting one for herself. She'll just end up shooting it because she feels obligated to humor you. Don't try and force your hobby on your girlfriend. If she wants to get involved, she'll take the initiative.
>>34569511
Giving your GF something an illiterate african would wield is an insult. At least get her a handgun of some quality, not one of your vatnik slavshit hand-me-downs.
>>34569664
>At least get her a handgun of some quality, not one of your vatnik slavshit hand-me-downs.
Honestly it's either going to be one of my AKs or a cheap makarov.
>>34569674
If she drops the Makarov and it blows off one of her titties will you still service her sexual needs, and lick her deformed nipple?
>>34569511
What if she breaks up with you later? Does she get to keep the AK?
>>34569732
That's generally how gifts work.
I doubt she would, but if she did the rifle would still be hers.
>>34569750
Hmmmmm. Well, alright anon, go ahead and give away an AK.... but imho I think you've been blinded by your love.
I'd keep the AK and asks her what other things she might like as a gift, but I might be crazy.
Gifting your hobby is self centered unless the other party shows as much or more interest than you do.
>>34569750
buy her a Lcp 2 or lcps for purse carry
>>34569823
>>34569812
>>34569788
What about trading a WASR for two Makarovs?
Then we'd have matching tiny guns and I'd still have two AKs.
>>34569511
if shes mentioned wanting a handgun get her a handgun, what if she doesn't want an AK?
>>34569836
>actually wanting your woman around when your operating
jesus millennial trash neck yourself
>>34569750
Buy her a proper sized dildo to replaced your cucked cock
>>34569836
Again, guns are your hobby.
Lets say your girlfriend was an avid dildo collector, you may not have a problem with her hobby and may even participate in discussing the oddities of the dildo world through sheer fascination or let her show them off to you on occasion.
Now Assuming you are not an ass faggot, how do you think you would feel if she decided a dildo was a proper gift for you?
>>34569872
not him, that's a good way to put it
>>34569872
>Now Assuming you are not an ass faggot, how do you think you would feel if she decided a dildo was a proper gift for you?
RIP.
Guess I need to rethink what constitutes a good gift.
I just really like giving people stuff I'm interested in.
I've given half of my buddies Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay rulebooks and shit even though they only play when I DM/bring it up.
>>34569901
thats kind of autistic, but i won't judge.
>>34569901
It's understandable. We want the people around us to enjoy the things we enjoy, but sometimes our enthusiasm blinds us to what they would prefer.
>>34569901
>I've given half of my buddies Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay rulebooks and shit even though they only play when I DM/bring it up.
Jesus Christ man you haven't learned from your past experiences? What do you think those books do other than collect dust?
Your severe lack of empathy is strongly indicative of "the spectrum"
>>34569901
Live and learn anon... live and learn.
However, if you would like to gift an AK, I would love to have more to my collection... ahem.
>>34561386
Pretty much. Unless you're shooting groups, Tulammo is just as good as Brown Bear or Wolf for most applications.
Just got info on my M45A1 showing it was used by a 2nd marine raider in 2014 and a 3rd marine raider in 2015. Pretty cool
>>34569938
>Jesus Christ man you haven't learned from your past experiences? What do you think those books do other than collect dust?
They use them when we play, they just only play the one time a month that I bring it up.
>>34569996
Are those all your pistols or is that USP Blu's?
>>34570017
USP and Buckmark are Blu's.
My late grandfather had a Browning Challenger (non-hideous model) that I've been vying for but there are a lot of grandchildren and I've already gotten his M1 carbine.
>>34570039
>and I've already gotten his M1 carbine.
Shoot them
>>34570039
How is he liking the USP now that he sold his P30? How do you like it compared to his P30?
>>34570056
>shoot them
Oh, we will...
>>34570107
He likes it much better, the trigger is far better than the P30 which is ridiculous that such an expensive hammer fired gun could have that bad of a single action break. P30 was too problematic with not locking back on the last round due to the size and positioning of the slide release. Neither one of us could shoot it and have it lock open on the last round without a very awkward grip. Also the reliability was spotty and I considered the finish on the small parts to be sub-par.

yass
>>34570187
Hey here's a pic of an Obzor in the field with some of the markings on the left visible, I remember you talking about it a while back
...and P30 LEM a best
Anyone interested in the furniture off my SLR-107R? Black US made fixed stock furniture
>>34570246
Nice, thanks for sharing, that is clearly the old NPZ marking of the hammer and sickle
Hey Daewoo, what solvents do you use to clean your MISR S/A? Do I need to worry about finish loss like I would on an Arsenal or Saiga?
>>34571142
Hoppes #9
>>34571166
Cool, if Hoppe's isn't killing your finish, M-Pro 7 Gun Cleaner probably won't do anything to it either. Sounds like I'm in the clear.
>>34569750
why is there no dust cover
>>34570572
Will it work on a WASR? I'll take the lower handguard.
>>34571272
Probably got shot or fell off. Rifle is fine either way.
>>34568963
That looks like a Century, gray park gives it away. The only early imports I know of are the Mitchell's which are worth well over $950.
>>34571277
It should
I find some weird form of enjoyment in the fact James River just went and made Yugo Vepr FMs out of their RPK kits
>>34571788
JUST MAKE NORMAL RPKS REEEEEE
>>34571814
They did that too.
https://www.atlanticfirearms.com/component/virtuemart/shipping-rifles/james-river-m72b1-wood-detail.html?Itemid=0
>>34571821
Oh, well that's not that bad after all I guess.
>>34562040
>The failures were all spent casings getting stuck half way out or the bolt not closing all the way
Different anon, to me it sounds like too much friction between the case and the chamber, for what ever reason.
Having some trouble getting my SKS firing pin to come out. I can't get the pin that holds the extractor and firing pin to come out. What am I doing wrong? Do I just need more force?
>>34561329
pls no bully, I'm going to put a polish bolt carrier in it.
>>34562040
>>34572069
If this is the case the best he can do is to take a brass chamber brush(or any brass cleaning brush that snuggly fits in the chamber) and attach it to a drill with a couple of cleaning rods. Start it spinning as slow as you can and then work up to a moderate speed.
Make sure you use a decent amount of oil if you try this and spin it the correct direction or you'll unscrew the brush.
Also you are very likely to fuck up the brush/cleaning rods while doing this so use cheap ones you dont care about.
Good luck. Hope it helps.
>>34572516
Probably not a good idea.
>>34572592
Why not? I've heard they fit and are a good replacement for the shitty cast one.
>>34572608
How about instead of dumping more money into it you sell it and buy a better gun
>>34572633
Because the receiver is fine (and it's milled). The only problem is with the bolt carrier which can be fixed for about 70 bucks.
>>34572638
>the only problem
A-anon...
>>34572648
Educate me anon.
>>34572638
>and its milled
You say that like it's a positive
>>34572668
I like milled guns with regards to durability.
>>34569448
I would if I had the money friend
>>34569460
This ain't me btw.
>>34572673
Whens the last time you heard of a stamped rifle not being durable?
>>34572722
I'm not saying stamped guns aren't durable but a rifle constructed out of a solid chunk of steel is going to be better built than one made out of stamped parts.
>>34572653
Not him, but the front trunions are usually cast too. And while casting isn't all that bad if done properly, parts like the bcg and front trunion should be milled/forged. And they use roll pins where solid pins should be. Crappy riveting work. Etc. Io Inc is a bad company. Sell the gun, get something better, and well known.
>>34572728
This isn't an IO. It's a C39V2
>>34572727
Yeah, in the same way that a shithouse made of cast concrete with rebar with a steel blast door will be more durable than one built out of brick and mortar. There is such a thing as overkill.
If you're going for accuracy you should be buying an M10X anyway. M+M promises 1MOA or better with golden tiger out of the box.
>>34572733
>this isn't an IO, it's a Century
Holy kek, as if that's any better
>>34572836
At least the Century won't explode. IOs exploding isn't a meme.
>>34561329
Krink owners, where did you put your SBR engravings?
>>34572929
Has to be on the receiver with the required info. Usually to the rear near the trunnion is a common spot.
>>34572852
You're right. The cast parts breaking is totally better. Smart purchase.
>>34572929
Done with a laser
>>34573009
Is that the Chimps Trust or the /akg/ Trust or the Anime Trust?
It's been a shitty few months and I just found out that my AK is fucked beyond cheap repair. I'm going to buy a new one and part out the one I've got for whatever I can get because it will cost more to fix it than it's worth, by far.
I want a good rifle, I mean good, I'm tired of settling for decent and upgrading when I can. I want stamped and I want the full shebang, front end done and obviously rear end, so no sporters. I want dimples. What can I get for ~1100 that fits these? I'd prefer something with a folder but I guess I can get a romy wire or gyp crutch if I need to. Anyone here have any idea when or if kvar will get their SGL's or 107-11's back?
>>34573102
>SGL's
Nope. Any chance we had of getting these back after the election went away with the "Russian meddling" nonsense.
>107-11
Eventually.
>>34571765
Do you have the heat shield for it?
>>34572733
Still bad, friend.
>>34572852
I literally have never seen or heard of an i.o. exploding. They more crumble or break.
Should I sell my smooth top cover? I don't think I'm ever gonna use it on my 104fr now and it's gonna be a long time before I need one for 100 series clones
>>34564049
Not that guy but mine's a surplus VZ58
>>34573307
How much you want for it?
>>34573057
It's my last name, do you take me for some sort of faggot?
>>34573305
Same, as much as people bash IO, I think the only AK kaboom I've ever seen from a factory gun is the one in the M74 video.
>>34573359
Idk, last one I saw on AKfiles was like 45 which is why I was considering it
So I know milled receivers won't accept stamped furniture and vice versa; however, my father and I jimmied some furniture to fit his stamped AK. It fit like shit but it fit and stayed fit. With some modification and some tlc could I get a set to fit decently and properly?
What brands of handguards will fit a VEPR?
>>34573586
Yeah, you should be able to. It'll involve fuckery with bedding material or a dremel tool.
>>34573586
Why not just buy a stamped set?
>>34573586
There's an anon here with a milled set on his saiga, he got it to fit nice and it looks pretty good
>>34573602
Because I already have two really nice stamped sets that I put a lot of time and energy into and I dont want to get rid of them.
>>34573009
I was under the influence that the engraving don't had to be of a certain size, like .325" or some shit, no?
>>34573685
Size and depth, mine is the minimum of both specifications
>>34573692
Neat I'll have to dig up the spec, that's pretty discrete
>>34573602
I meant milled, we put stamped furniture in his milled AK.
>>34573587
Carolina Shooter's supply is a good source. Check there.
>>34573780
Wow, I just checked out their website. Good selection. Thanks.
>>34573396
>do you take me for some sort of faggot?
>
At least yours with your last name sounds cool and is an alliteration, if it were me it'd sound really dumb cuz I've got a boring last name
>>34573461
Yeah they're usually like $35-$45, I listed one of mine for $30 and it sold in a few minutes
>>34573869
Maybe I'll put it up for 45 shipped then. Pay for the bipod adapter
>>34573869
You know Chimps last name? What is it?
New thread
>>34573952
>>34573952
>>34573952
>>34573907
Yeah I'd do that. I wish I would have listed mine a little higher but it was the one I had in the worst condition so I thought it'd be a fairer price, but no I should have asked for more
>>34573934
I'm sworn to secrecy, just like how I can't tell you his social security number either
If I do the curse will set in and my AKs will turn to sand and my peepee will fall off
>>34573396
Is the i.o. hate exaggerated? Or do they really come apart after 500 rounds
